Hi people,

I am currently living in a rented flat at the moment which only has 1 tv aerial socket in it (the lounge). Now I have a PC in my bedroom which has a Digital tuner card (my old house had an aerial socket in the bedroom). Is there a way I can pipe the tv signal to my pc without having to run a massive coaxial cable through the flat?

Roll on buying a new house in this area!

Cheers

If your PC card can only accept an aerial input then a cable is the only option.

If however it can accept a Composite video (or even better S-Video) input then you could put a Video sender in the lounge and the receiver plugged into your PC.

The transmit end could be plugged into any existing Freeview box as long as you don't mind watching the same channel as what ever is on the lounge TV.

Alternatively you could put a second box in the lounge off the main aerial and hook the Video Sender into that so you can choose your own viewing entertainment

Obviously using a video sender does mean the tuner section of the PC card is a bit redundent. But there is no way other than a cable to get the aerial signal from lounge to bedroom.

No - that's a Homeplug system that allows you to turn your mains wiring into effectively an ethernet hub.
