HDMI to VGA or other options?
Hi!
Does anyone know of away to connect my new 42" Phillips TV to my laptop. The TV has a HDMI connection but unfortunitaly my laptop only has a VGA socket. Is there anyway my TV will connect to a VGA? or can I get a DVI for my laptop? Please help!! Thanks Ashleigh

Does the TV not have VGA in?
Friend of mine has a Phillips 42" plasma and it does. VGA to HDMI is an expensive option involving all sort of expensive conversion boxes. You could get a graphics card of some description with DVI I would imagine. S-video is another option but of all the possible connection types, it will give the poorest quality picture. It's also possible to get VGA to component video leads .... hard to find in the high street but you can get them online for around £15. |
