Whats the position with Vodafone and unlocking at what point will they give you the unlock code ?

I had a Virgin PAYG and once you had put £30 - £35 ? of credit on you could ring and get the unlock code for free

I'm not 100% sure, so check on the Vodafone site, but I think its £25 unless the phone is 12 months old.

Four months ago, Vodafone charged me £20 to unlock a Nokia 7373. Gave me full instructions and no hassle.

I have Looked at the website I can't see any mention of the terms and costs to unlock a PAYG

It is a Brand new Vodafone 810 PAYG my youngster fancies but we get a good deal on 02 sims and calls so I wanted to know if you put a set amount on if you can request the unlock to use her 02 card in it ( cheeky I know )

I cannot see them unlocking a brand new PAYG phone for nuffin , without a set amount of credit

i would imagine that the NUC will be £20 as it is on contract, i believe you would topup the account and they would debit it from your credit and issue you with the NUC within so many days.

Hi Coopermanyorks,

I would discourage you from giving out your IMEI or personal details over the internet. You can get the unlocking code from us at Vodafone directly if you were to get in touch.

You can either call us on 191 from a Vodafone or e-mail us using our online contact us form here.

The code is free if you've used the phone with us for more than 12 months. If not then there'd be a charge of £19.99.
