Hi guys I was just wondering if anyone has this Samsung TV as I might be buying it soon Few questions though

This is my 1st HDTV so i was just wondering is HD & Freeview (Its got a built in Freeview tuner) all ready to go into the box or do i have to buy accessories, leads etc

Wheres best to buy? as Ive seen you can save a bit of money if you reserve it on Currys site and then collect it in store.

I want to buy a Xbox 360 too so I was just wondering is it worth getting the Xbox 360 Elite for the HD cable?

Cheers

I've got the 26" version of that TV, and I'm very happy with it. I've just got a 360 Elite (LittlewoodsDirect £249.10 delivered - deal of the century!), and that looks great running through HD component cables.

The TV's performance in Standard Definition is so-so, but with HD it looks amazing.

Obviously, you need a Sky HD box and subscription to get HD TV, but you knew that anyway, right?

I bought the TV from ebuyer for £485 and it really is an excellant set. Likewise, I've got the Xbox 360 elite (with HD-DVD drive) hooked up via HDMI and my PC via HDMI too and everything looks superb.

Highly reccommeded TV.

Good thanks for the feeback guys I cant watch normal TV in HD then? Also can you guys tell me if you will use the HDMI lead that came with the Elite and if it makes the 360 look any good?

Thanks

'Normal' TV is only SD, so you obviously can't watch it in HD.

Never seen one, but generally both Component and HDMI perform pretty well identically - either will give you superb HD from an HD source. I was looking at an Xbox 360 on Friday, connected via Component, and it looked amazing.

I got this TV today (love it ) but I cant seem to get the blue LED light on at the bottom of the set, the option it mentions in the manual isn't an option on the menu screen on the TV. Can anyone help?
