When can we expect the first sets to arrive with HD Freeview incorporated?, yes i know its least 4 years away, just wondered.

Not until the spec is nailed down very very firmly otherwise it's just jacking up the price for useless functions.

Some high end SONY's have mpeg4 receivers but they are EU wide designs perhaps intended more for the French market who are adopting mpeg4 for DTT HD.

erm, well I am not holding my breath, and I bet much of the country still wont get HDfreeview even in 4 years time (for the same reasons + cost that not everyone can get normal Freeview now). Dont bother waiting and go for either subscription based Sky satelliteHD or Cable HD, or get a non-Sky satellite SD/HD box and tune into the 1 or 2 free channels today. 4 years - this is really a non-issue, especially if you need to replace your normal tv in the next 12 months.
