Extra tuner for Sony HDX710

I have an analogue tuner in my TV so cannot watch a digital channel while recording with my Sony HDX710. When the analogue transmission is switched off it will not be possible to watch anything other than the channel being recorded. Is it possible to get round this by adding an extra set-top box? If so, how would this be connected up (i.e. would it have to go between the HDX710 and the TV?).

You could add an extra set top box now and do it, just connect it to a spare SCART socket on your TV, the aerial lead will loop through both boxes before going to the TV.

Thanks. Does the aerial lead have to go through the HDX710 first or does it not make any difference which comes first?

It shouldn't make much if any difference which order the aerial lead goes through your boxes but some people prefer for it to go through the recorder first and may even suggest that this gives a marginally better recorded picture.

Thanks for that.
