That cha cha was not 39 material. It looked sloppy. Matt & Flavia were fantastic! I'm a bit upset they're not top.

But those 2 couples are my favourite and I'm pleased they#re both at the top. Even if it is in the wrong order.

Agreed. Len is particular has been very strange tonight.

totally agree with you, i love alesha but that dance was not worth 3 10's and was no where near as good as matt and flavias.

Id hav egiven them equal marks. I thought Alesha performed hers better then Matt but Matt was technically a bit better.
Still they were the best 2 by far tonight.

I assume it's 'tactical' judging...but I'm not completely sure what they're trying to achieve.

Maybe it will become clear after the results.

And his comments to Brendan and Kelly is ridiculous. They only got 8 hours training so what did he expect? Kelly is not like those who has nothing else to do and see strictly as their best shot

Len has been very strange all series.... think he may be losing the plot. I mean, the dance was good and Alesha is obviously an excellent dancer- but I didn't think it was anything amazingly special-she's done more 10 worthy dances before. Matt was better IMO.

all very strange.....

I just hope it doesn't backfire on them and Letitia ends up in the bottom two with Kelly.

Agree four 9's would have been correct. Why did Matt allow 2 attempts at the splits which finished halfway, and looked most ungainly and ridiculous.

Any chance of getting the two Alesha threads merged?

I agree about the marking being a bit odd tonight; Alesha & Matt C seem to have a habit of going for oomph instead of content for their latin stuff (I'm no expert, but I think cha cha needs to be a little more relaxed and slinky - link)

I still think Alesha is great though.

Well said lucky!

Im really really angry for first time about how someone has been treated!

In fact!!

Len is ALWAYS marking oddly. Bruno's going back to being too generous. Craig and Arlene were ok on some dance judging and went a bit over on others. Generally overmarking rather than undermarking today though.

I do so agree, four nines, but not tens. It wasn't perfect, but performance wise, well, that was what got the tens.

I think Cat the problem is Cha Cha does not have the wow factor of Salsa and the music was not a good choice but for me the difficulty of that Cha Cha was performed well - I agree Matt and Flavia were really really good but also think the routine lacked a bit of footwork at times if it had more footwork in it would have been given all 10's IMO

I think that Alesha is very good but I am starting to think she has more performance than technical ability.

In my eyes, she lacks precision of movement - something Letitia (who is also not my favourite) seems to have gained in spades.

i have to say i like Craig a lot, and he was consistant with M&F and A&M but i think matt defo deserved to be top of the leader board. i didnt particularly like Gethins quickstep, but then i am a Matt supporter

Love Alesha and Matt but Matt had the WOW factor and tried some really hard moves. Alesha more in a disco mode with funny splits. No more marking by numbers. Matt deserved top plave tonight. Anyone else think the show was badly paced-they seriously ran out of time towards the end.

Everyone is busy not just Kelly - Gethin struggled this week because of filming for Blue Peter. But that aside Len was annoyed with Brendan (rightly so) that routine was lazy lazy lazy - a basic samba with voltas and the correct feel and bounce would have looked better, but the routine peformed had repetition in it no voltas and no feel and that is not a critiicism of Kelly but Brendan that routine did Kelly a disservice

But their excuse wasn't that she had had loads of other work to do, but that they'd had to do the group dance too. Well so had everyone else! To her credit, Kelly was honest about that. It was only Brendan going for the sympathy vote on that one. Others managed to put in the hours - I'm not a Gethin supporter but the guy had to do Blue Peter 3 times this week plus two dances and still put in a far better performance than Kelly IMO.

I think both Matt & Alesha were a bit overmarked - should have been 4 9's for both IMO, but the pair of them were clearly a cut above the rest.
