glad I am not the only one who didnt like Matt and Aleshas cha cha

Now Matt and Flavia on the other hand....

I thought the marks were deserved as i think she performed better than Matt, so she should have gotten higher marks than his 38.

If i'd voted Matt would have gotten straight 9's and Alesha 3 9's and a 10.

Matt didn't sell the dance whereas she did. Only difference for me. Both technically were good!

well see the point that if you dont know better then you take the red commentary's word for it but if you know what a volta is look at routine again

For other celebrities that would have been a unquestionable reason but for Kelly, no no no, it's an excuse. The judges is that fair!!!

Was Alesha over-marked? Surely it depends on the comparisons...

Look what else has had 10s this series and especially what 'head judge' Len has given 10 for.

And even more tellingly look what he gave 7 for this evening and last week!

Now if the judges were to remember that they have paddles with all the numbers from 1 to 10 then maybe we could start to see dances that are worth 9 awarded 9s and more importantly dances that are worth 2 getting 2s.

It's the high scores for just turning up and stomping which are handed out to celebs that end up skewing the judges voting.

Now if I'd been a judge tonight I'd have given both Matt and Flavia and Alesha and Matthew straight 9s. And I'd have given the rest no higher than 7s with most getting far less than that.

And Alesha is by far my favourite.

Len pointed out volta's in their routine on ITT last night! They were in the roundabout that he then went on to show Claudia how to do - both he and Anton said they were voltas, if they are both talking rubbish then please let them know.

I disagree. Alesha had fantastic energy but it was technically not up to scratch.

they did a samba roll which involves volta steps BUT all samba routines have voltas in as well done as separate step and not part of the role and these were not there

Big whoop...... Kate was literally on crutches and getting lambasted for milking the sympathy so why should Kelly expect anything different ? Oh right..... because she's dancing with Brendan

Kenny was the most overmarked person tonight, even though i would have only given matt di and Alesha 9s, theres no way they were only 1 point higher than Kenny.

That's very catty really .

They all have successful careers . some are very busy . Gethin has very little time to spare at the moment . Matt is filming , John is very busy . And Kelly has a range of lingeries , a perfume and at least one book to promote .

I liked Kelly's attitude tonight , for the first time . She knew there were problems and made no excuses .

The others are just as busy as she is , you make time .

Semi finals last yea , Matt an Mar had 3 days to perfect 3 routines , Emma 4 ..... .none of them complained, nor did their partners .

I agree .If Matt or Alesha had been out early , say 1 and 2 or 3 , they would have had no more than 9s .
Alesha for me tonight was 5 marks above what it should have been and I really like Alesha and still think she will win .

Matt nearly kicked Flavia's head off and looked constipated throughout the dance. The cha cha cha is a less visually stunning dance than the Salsa. Compare Alesha's CCC to Matt's and you will see what I mean.

Alesha is the best !!

Matt is a poor man's Ramps!

I don't care if he's "cute"

While I don't think it was worthy of a 39, it was vastly superior to Matt for me, so it had to get a 39 just to put her in the right position on the leaderboard.

It seems Alesha can do no wrong with the judges, Claudia and the BBC. She has been overmarked on a lot of occasions.
I like A&M but do not agree with the apparent favouritism and overmarking.

Bar tonight when was she overmarked?

I thought her Jive and in particular her Salsa were undermarked. The rest were fairly appropriate marks given to her i.e. Foxtrot and Waltz.

I don't think there is any favouritism, how i saw it was that the judges overmarked Matt initially, and since Alesha dance was better they had no choice but to give her those marks.

If i had the choice from scratch the scores would have been Matt 36 and Alesha 37.

she's been overmarked once - last night

undermarked for rumba, jive and salsa I think

there's been loads of overmarking this year - particularly for Gethin and Letitia

We may not all agree as to where it's taken place, but there's definitely been a lot of overmarking and just plain bad marking. I agree with you about the rhumba, but not the jive or salsa. The judges gave '10's last night solely on the basis of performance. They, rather than us, should be picking up on the technicalities.

Couldn't agree more. I mean I've watched both routine again (twice) and really Alesha's footwork very rushed and unfinished at times (could have had something to do with the fast and (more importantly) wrong music). Didn't think Beyonce's number suited a 'Cha Cha' at all. What was Matthew thinking there.........

Matt & Flavia's Salsa had it all and should've ended on top for sure. But it is obvious who the judged ''champion" most.

She's obviously a good dancer but not as good as some people would make out.

Her footwork is often sloppy and lacks a finishing edge.
