Pc's via LCD TV's
Hi all. I wondered whether anyone can please advise me on the following. My kids (lucky b*****s!) currently have both a pc & a tv in their bedrooms. I think that things are a bit too cramped and so I thought that I'd replace both monitors in each room with a single lcd tv as they have a pc input. What I'm not too sure about is how good the quality is on an lcd when used as a pc monitor. I would prefer not to spend too much on these, however, I wouldn't want to get something too cheap and the pc is rubbish when viewed through it.
Can anyone suggest something reasonable? (I'm looking for either 2 x 17" or perhaps 2 x 19" lcd's with built in Freeview) Thanks for any help

You need to bear in mind the resolution isn't as high as a monitor would be - but as long as you're happy at the supported resolution they work fine.
I connected a computer to a 40 inch Sony I delivered, looked great - he had a wireless keyboard and mouse, and used it from his bed!

Thanx Nigel. I guess that as long as the pixel rate was at least say, 800 x 600 then it should be okay?

Yes, check the spec on the TV - and ensure it's available via the VGA socket.
