Is it possible to pay your BT bill by card before the direct debit is taken ?

Hi all,

Does anyone know if it is possible to pay your BT bill by credit/debit card before the direct debit is taken from your bank account ?

I would not even consider the possibility. BT's accounts are in a total mess - this comes from Ben Verwaayen's office. A new system was installed earlier this year and it is not working at all well. We have an online account with direct debit billing but have twice received paper bills with late payment charges.
You could try paying early, but don't be surprised if you are sent a penalty bill for not paying at all.

Yes - and it appears it is possible to beat BT's £1.50/month non-DD charge that way.

I wouldn't, it is most likely you will end up paying the bill twice, the dd'd seem to be set when the bills are issued, i queried a bill in August and ended up my account being in credit and a new bill issued, they still took the dd out
