Need help setting up Pro-Logic TV

I need some some setting the pro logic up so I can get the best surround sound from what I have. Where should the speaker levels be? What about bass and treble. Has anyone got any tips to get the best out of what I have.

Decide where the optimum sitting position is and alter the sound settings accordingly. My system allows you to alter the speaker settings to say how far they are away from the sitting position, then you can alter the loudness to one that you feel is the best.

Basically it is something you have got to do yourself because every room is different.

Setting up a surround system is very much down to personal choice I find.

They usually come with a pink or white noise generator which selects each speaker separately so you can balance the levels to each until the sound the same.

However I often find that if you do this and then listen to a film etc the balance to the rear speakers does not sound loud enough. I personnally prefer the rear speakers turned up more but that may just be how my ears work.

As with most things like this, it is definately down to personal preference. Get the basic set up going then tweak it to your exact liking

Lots of information here

It suggests using the test tones to set all speaker volumes the same and goes on to say that during programs the surround sound speakers will normally sound quieter than the front speakers and this is as intended.
