Moving Text Messages from one phone to another

Hi.

I am thinking about changing the network I am on and getting a new phone. I intend to get the number I currently have ported across to the new network.

My question is:-

Is there anyway I can transfer my text messages from the Inbox on my current phone to the Inbox on the new one? I would like to keep all the senders information in tact if possible.

Any feedback would be appreciated.

well if you are using a SE phone then downlaod an application called My PhoneExplorer...you can make backups of your phone's content..nd then upload the backup on your new SE phone

I assume SE stands for Sony Ericsson??

I would be moving from a Sony Ericsson K750i to a Nokia. Not sure of the model of the Nokia, probably the 6300 or the 6500

Yep... SE = Sony Ericsson.

Not sure if there's something similar for Nokia out there...but since Nokia is so popular somebody might have created something...

How many are there? You could always forward them to your new phone, just put another sim in the receiving phone and send them to it.
