Swisstec TV Model:Sky-EJ20/W1CG

I purchase one of the above from my local Cooperative Store during December 2005 for setting up in my new lounge, unfortunately just after this was done I broke my femur and complication meant I was unable to use the TV as the room was not accessible so after approximately 3 hours use it had to stand un used, eventually earlier this year I was able to use it again but found it will only display yellow/orange led for monitor mode and will not change to green for TV mode, it is out of guarantee so can not go down that route. I took it to a local repairer who cannot obtain the relevant data from Swisstec I also tried e mail direct to Swisstec but it will not go through.

As a pensioner I'am not very technical although I manage quite well, so thought there must be some really upto date technically minded people on the forum.

Can anyone help, as a TV sat in its original packaging is not much help to me plus a waste of money.

My only suggestion is to contact the Co-op where you bought it from, surely they have service arrangements?, and can put you in touch with some one with access to spares.

Actually I think you still have rights even after the guarantee period is up.

I think it works by looking to see how long you would expect an item to last and work reasonably well.

You have upto six years to make a claim but that dosn't mean the product should last six years.

Now how you go about making a claim is another matter maybe citizens advice could help with that one if they still exist.
