Well, sort of.

Except that, altough a contestant is elimated, what the public vote for is who they want to keep. So the public actually don't vote anyone off as such.

If the public voting was like Big Brother, i.e. for who you want chucked off, a lot of these sorts of mess ups where reasonable dancers are eliminated prematurely would vanish.

Personally I liked Gabby, thought she was a good candidate for at least the last 5 or so and can't see why supposed dance fans would want to see an clod hopper like Kate kept in. Good riddance to her is what I say. It spoilt the series for me seeing her stumble around when there were *far* better people eliminated in her favour.

The judges blame the public for voting the way they do, But they are wrong. It is the voting system that is at fault.
