Had tiscali tv "installed" last night. The engineer was very friendly and I have no complaint about him.
But, when he switched my stb on, there was nothing but a black screen and the number 4. After a while this changed to
"Service Notification
We are currently experiencing technical difficulties.
Please contact Customer Care"
A number of STB and Router resets did not solve the problem.
The engineer then made a phone call and was told my line had not been provisioned for TV, although I could still get on line.
The engineer left saying my line was in the process of being re-provisioned and that I should try again in a couple of hours and left me instruction on what to do.
Anyway, come this morning, the problem has not gone away.
After calling Customer Services, I am now being told I need an Engineer visit, so now have to wait until Tuesday.
Good job I haven't cancelled Sky yet!!
Hope this isn't a sign of things to come.
P.S. My line was running at 5.8meg so more than enough to receive tv.
