Not a good start!

Had tiscali tv "installed" last night. The engineer was very friendly and I have no complaint about him.

But, when he switched my stb on, there was nothing but a black screen and the number 4. After a while this changed to
"Service Notification
We are currently experiencing technical difficulties.
Please contact Customer Care"

A number of STB and Router resets did not solve the problem.

The engineer then made a phone call and was told my line had not been provisioned for TV, although I could still get on line.
The engineer left saying my line was in the process of being re-provisioned and that I should try again in a couple of hours and left me instruction on what to do.

Anyway, come this morning, the problem has not gone away.
After calling Customer Services, I am now being told I need an Engineer visit, so now have to wait until Tuesday.

Good job I haven't cancelled Sky yet!!

Hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

P.S. My line was running at 5.8meg so more than enough to receive tv.

Update

My box kicked into life all on it's own as if by magic.

And I'm very happy apart from a small issue with the remote which doesn't seem very responsive and often takes 3 or 4 attempts to do anything.

But the picture quality is very very good, even on a 42 inch plasma, and 'm very impressed with the on demand stuff.
