Where is she?

Haven't seen her on Sky for ages.

Was she axed after the Bywater 'incident'?

Signed off for reasons of stress.

Its no more than coincidence that she's not been seen since the Bywaters incident.

She's currently out with a stress related illness after being blamed for the Bywater incident. I think she'll be back after Christmas.

Stephen Bywater of Derby County spelt out a swear word on Goals On Sunday, and Clare failed to tell him off or apologise to viewers about it.

I'm sorry she's not well but I hope she doesn't come back to Goals On Sunday because Paul Boardman is much better than her.

Oh dear. What is with her and footballers? Didn't she er spend time in an Hotel with Bryan Robson, and got a slap when Mrs Robson turned up unexpectedly?

I'm sad to hear that she's ill, and wish her better, but she's never been my favourite presenter. I only have SSN on Freeview, but whenever she presented on that her ridiculous pouting and attempts at looking sexy were embarrassingly awful not to mention rather sad.

Didn't she used to do touchline reporting in the early days....hence the Robson liaison...?

Or was that always Lech Walensa?

Touchline reporting on the Premiership? You are having a laugh.

It was David Livingstone when SKY took the Premiership, then Lech, then Clare Tomlinson and George Gavin, now Geoff "Shreevesy" Shreeves.

There maight be others but Kirsty Gallacher never took on this role.

well i've always thought Clare was one of the sexiest girls on TV and she def has the sexiest voice on TV too.

I heard it was more a case of Sky forcing her to take a rest rather than stress, but I could be wrong. Seems she is being made the scapegoat when it wasn't really her fault. I'm sure Kammy never got pulled up for Bywater swearing either

i wonder if clare's disproportionate treatment compared to Kamara might have more to do with the fact that she's not as young as she once was (how many late-30s females do you see on Sky Sports or Sky Sports News?). Or am i just being a conspiracy theoryst?

How does one getting an illness and the other not make it disproportionate treatment?

it's the fact that Clare and Kamara were both on that programme but only one has been forced to take time off because of it

but from what has been said publicly, she hasn't been forced off the programme, but is off sick.
