Connecting SKY + to Sony KDL-42W3000

Hi.

Forgive the somewhat 'basic' level of this question, but which is the best manner in which to connect the above two pieces of equipment? Currently, I have got it connected through from SCART to SCART, which is giving a fairly average picture.... I notice that Keene do a SCART - HDMI 720p convertor, would this make a difference to the picture quality?

Thanks in advance

NB. Make that a KDL-40W3000 - dunno where the 42 bit came from!!!

I wouldn't have thought so?, make sure you're connected via an RGB enabled SCART socket, and the Sky box is set to RGB. When you switch the Sky box between PAL and RGB the picture quality should improve dramatically! - if it doesn't you're not using an RGB SCART socket or lead.

Just for info..........the RGB scart on the Sky+ box is the one marked 'TV' - this is the BOTTOM one.

On most TVs AV1 is almost certainly an RGB enabled scart.
