Dont agree Leon has improved . . . .
Hes been great from week 1
![]() . Loved his first song in the first show and hes been great ever since. Granted he was on Fire tonight with his opening number and liked the slower one too - although hes best when he can belt 'em out. Hes got a true talent whilst, although Rydian can sing, he just leaves me cold. That last song of his just bored me to death but I can imagine the "old dears" will go for him. Fed up with his sad little boy lost "please vote for me". Its not the Rydian Show, as everyone seems to think, its the X Factor and Leon has got it in spades. |

I've always liked Leon but i'm finding him bit arrogant lately. His second song tonight was the first time, i've ever disliked him.

He has improved considerably from week one, as week one can't buy me love(I think it was that Beatles track) was shambolic from his vocals, to his brittle confidence, to the arrangement and his dancing. Every week from them has been much better but it was a poor start.

I think Leon has improved greatly in stage presence. IN the first couple of weeks he really did look uncomfortable out there...now he looks confident and what Sharon said about singing with his eyes is very true

I thought he sang very well tonight, especially song number 1. But I do politely disagree with you and Sharon. I just don't see that Spark, I don't see that X factor. When I was closing my eyes - Crazy little thing called love sounded great - easilly the best performance from the first lot of songs. However, when I see him on the screen - my opinion completely changes... He just doesn't look like he is enjoying himself - he looks "dead around the eyes". I certainly thought Sharon saying he sings with more heart than Rhydian of all people made the comment worst. I am no Rhydian fan, but he has that X factor - he looks like he is so comfortable and enjoying himself. Leon on long and winding road just looked like he was going to cry - not cause of the passion shown, but because he looked so nervous. I just don't see the performer, sorry... I just don't think he has got "it". Similar to Andy in that respect. What he does have over Rhydian is a bit more personality beyond performing and a better "likability" factor and that Underdog spirit. Rhydian is the Connie Fisher of this years X factor. |

IMO hes sounded the same all the way through, but I find it laughable that he finds himself in the same league as Rhydian

Who said he does?
And here's me thinking you were a genuine Leon fan. LEON said it! He said who'd have thought, after all the years of training Rhydian has had, he'd be at the SAME LEVEL as him. He clearly didn't say same stage of the competition. |

Leon was fairly good last week, but I cannot figure out why he received so much praise by the judges. I don't think that we were on the same show
![]() I just listened to the mp3 of both songs to make sure.. How can anyone say that he sings well? |

![]() ![]() He looked like he wasn't enjoying LAWR, and the VT certainly set up the perfromace as nervy/risky. LAWR is just one of those songs - it has a droney dimension.I dont know what Brian was on about re stripping it back, I'd have had a piano and a few strings on stage and slowed it down...backing track was dreadful. |

Its easy you just open your mouth and the words come out, you should try it.
And by the way he is now 2nd Fav to win it and is the 3rd most likely to go next week he must be doing something that people like. He may be second fav, and you may like him, the whole of Britain may think that he is the talent to be revealed, that won't make me think that he was good yesterday. |

I think his talent has yet to be revealed and that will come in time. As far as the x factor goes, he is just too unsophisticated in his stage delivery. I don't like how he stands with his head lurched forward. He needs to get somebody to coach him in undoing that bad habit. Makes him look like a country bumpkin.
