What are your scores and remarks for this evenings performances?

Ive give each couple an inividual mark (/10) and the overall mark I belive it deserved (/40)

Matt and Flavia -Tango 8 (32) Personally I didn't like the choice of music or stylisation. Was technically good, maybe needs to be bit more staccato, but a great dramatisation.
Rumba 8 (32) Not enough hip action on the forward backward steps, but beautiful arms and line and told a great story.

Gethin and Camilla-Waltz 9 (37) Wow! Absolutly beautiful, not quite techinically sound but he did take the lead, and had wonderful swing and sway which male celebs usually lack in. As great as Matt Dawsons, but overmarked I think.
Salsa 9 (36) Another amazing performance. Totally blew my expectations of his latin. Did sometimes lose synchronisity as it was sooooo fast.

Letitia and Darren-Quickstep 7 (30) A little flat footed and it didn't fly across the floor. Lost the footwork occasionally.
Cha Cha Cha 6 (26) She needs to do something about her hip action as it is virtually non existent, as she'll never do well in latin without it. Was too stiff and flat.

Kenny and Ola Foxtrot 7 (28) Hated teh begining, he's too stiff and his lines are awful. In hold he is much better, and coped well with the footwork, but did mess up a few heel leads.
Rumba 5 (20) No content, No hip Action, Not good. Was awful to be honest, the only good thing was story telling. Len and Bruno should be shot for their heinous marking.

Alesha and Matthew Tango 9 (36) Amazing! Great choreography at the top, great staccato action. Loved it! Just a few mess ups on heel leads, otherwise would be 10.
Samba 9 (36) I didn'y like the music, but she had great rhythm and lines. Lacked a little bounce and drive for me.

Gethin and Camilla 9.5 (because according to the RBC he made 1 mistake and he blew me away with his waltz) 9 ( his salsa was fab and fun with loads of hip action)

Matt and Alesha 9 (she's good but wasn't as good as Gethin in the ballroom, there wasn't enough passion)
8.5 (her samba felt dull in comparison to Gethin's salsa)

Matt and Flavia 9 (I thought his tango was better than Alesha's, he needed more performance IMO) 8 ( his rumba was good and his arms lovely)

Letitia 7.5 (it did look a little heavy and her footwork didn't look very neat) 7 ( she tried but her cha cha cha felt flat and she didn't move those hips enough)

Kenny 6.5 (he has improved alot but he is nowhere near the others in terms of dancing, he tries his best though) 5 (his rumba was better than I thought it would be but still cringe worthy)

Matt-

Tango -7- I hated the music for it but thought it wass quite good other than that, a few mistakes

Rumba-8- I liked his rumba more,lovely arms, one of the better male rumba's

Gethin-

Waltz- 9.9- couldn't quite give it a 10 but Boy oh Boy I just loved this dance..the first wow dance of the contest for me

Salsa-9- I thought he was undermaeked for this..loved this one too...and CHEST!!!!...sorry I'll calm down now


Letitia-

Quickstep-6 - Not her best but brilliant to say how ill she clearly and obviously was. well done for soldiering on Tish I couldn't have done it

Cha Cha- 5 - Not great but she gave it her all

Kenny-

Foxtrot- 6- was ok..nothing special

rumba- 3- hated it...Ola was hot though and Arlenes remarks were totally out of order


Alesha-

Tango- 8- below par ,overmarked...lacking something apart from the last bit which was very good

samba-6- for Alesha very poor and quite dull

Ballroom Round

Matt & Flavia's Tango - 8
Good but could've been a bit more defined by Matt in character. Super choreography by Flavia, who really has become the intellectual choreographer of Strictly this series. Her work is always so interesting to watch.

Gethin & Camilla's Waltz - 10
Totally beautiful. Danced to near perfection by Gethin, and deserving of a 10 in the Ballroom as he lead the dance throughout and brought a touch of Romance and Style to the floor.

Letitia & Darren's Quickstep - 7
Accepting she was ill this evening and during the week, her dancing just doesn't excite me. I find whatever rhythm she does dull, and she's not technically good either. I started off as a fan of hers from EE, but her personality on the show hasn't come across to me at all. Also the Costume Dept have not been her friend, and those floaty purple sleeves this evening did nothing for her overall look.

Kenny & Ola's Foxtrot - 8
He was never my fave and I was desperate for him to leave, but he completely surprised me this evening with his improvement overall in every department, and his chemistry with Ola is clear to see.

Alesha & Matt - 9
Not my fave couple, but for me their best dance by far. Very interesting choreography by Matthew, the best I've seen of his Ballroom, which I usually find a bit dull. But I still felt she could've performed it a tiny bit better with the facial expressions. I'd have preferred a more haughty look, and she looked like she was still concentrating on the steps, but she looked stunning as always, and throughout this series she's mostly had the best of the costumes.

Latin Round

Matt & Flavia's Rhumba - 8
Again lovely choreography by Flavia, and nice lines and arms by Matt. I'd have liked a little more connection though between them as a couple, and that's where I feel he could've done a bit better in both dances this evening, but still very good. They created a romantic feel which I always prefer rather than the pure sex which certain Judges go on about.

Gethin & Camilla's Salsa - 10
His performance was fantastic, right from the moment he entered the stage. I actually always prefer Camilla's Ballroom choreography (and dancing) to her Latin, and I'm assuming this choreography was done by Chris, the Salsa man, as I liked it very much. The chemistry between the couple has improved so much this week, and Gethin just let fly and gave it his all. It was probably not as pure a Salsa as John & Nicole's, which was fabulous, but still Gethin deserves alot of credit and he was my top overall dancer tonight on both combined performances.

Letitia & Darren's Cha Cha - 6
The weakest dance this evening, and not very enjoyable.
My weakest couple tonight in both dances, accepted she was unfortunately poorly, but I would say Farewell to her as Kenny is improving at a rate of knots and she isn't.

Kenny & Ola's Rhumba - 8
Created the same wistful, soulful atmosphere and connection as Matt & Lilia's Rhumba to the Blower's Daughter last year. Loved it, and the slating by the judges was totally uncalled for. IMO they simply didn't get it. Shame. The choice of music by Ola was inspired, Eva Cassidy's version of Fields of Gold suited this dance so well, and they interpreted it beautifully. Bearing in mind what this show is all about, Kenny has come of age as a dancer, within his limitations ofcourse, he really performed it so well, and had great connection with Ola. 10 out of 10 for chemistry. I liked Ola's choreography for this dance, one of her better Latin dances IMO. She looked so crestfallen by the awful scores, and Arlene's racist *joke* was a disgrace, and it was innacurate to liken her to a Pole dancer when the atmosphere created was sensual and soulful and romantic. Daft bint that Arlene is. Someone shut her up before she embarrasses herself further.
I enjoyed both the interpretations of the Rhumba this evening, they are true Rhumbas in my eyes.
Kenny's hands and arms and lines were hugely improved and his expression all round. I hope he stays, he deserves to.

Alesha & Matt's Samba - 7
Apart from the opening, didn't like it much. Tempo seemed too slow for a lively Samba to me. It just went through the various A - Z of Samba choreography and steps and didn't come alive for me. Her performance wasn't very exciting either, and I don't think she has the best footwork ever seen on this type of show, but still the Judges award her the highest marks every week, and a 10 for this dance from Len seemed way overscored. It meant she was joint top on the Leader Board when Gethin deserved to be there on his own this week.

ETA: I listened to the RBC tonight with Nicole & Phillip, and it was very enjoyable, they made for a happy team and Nicole was very bubbly.

Rumba does have footwork in its technique it is not about standing there whilst the lady dances on you and around you there was far too little steps in that routine and that was why it was slated its supposed to be about the Celeb dancing moving arms and looking soulful is not dancing.

May not agree with these judges often but in this instance spot on

Completely agree with yours I thought Kenny and Ola were undermarked in both dances they were brilliant and the rhumba the chemistry wow! If i didn't know they were married lol fantastic

Good but with Flavia's background I expected it more sharper routine. Matt behind her in timing.

Beautiful, romantic a joy to watch. Gethin was in charge and it showed.

Letitia & Darren - Quickstep. Average Mark 7
Heavy and ungainly. Letitia has never been as light on her feet as some of the others and this dance showed this

Kenny & Ola - Foxtrot. Average Mark 7.5
Kenny's ballroom is quite good. He's pretty light on his feet for a big man and when in hold looks good

Aleysha & Matt - Tango. Average Mark 9
Technically very good, but it missed being a 10 for me because I thought it was on the dull side.

Latin

Matt & Flavia - Rumba. Average Mark 8
Matt didn't do enough in this dance and he seemed very stiff and didn't move his hips enough. Disappointing.

Gethin & Camilla - Salsa. Average Mark 10
I gave them top marks as his performance was fantastic. I loved it. He is now my favourite to win

Letitia & Darren - Cha Cha. Average Mark 6
Appalling. I'm not making allowances for illness either. Leitia is not light enough on her feet for latin.

Kenny & Ola - Rumba. Average Mark 7
As he has no sense of rhythm or timing I thought he managed this pretty well.

Aleysha & Matt - Samba. Average Mark 8.5
Very disappointing. Not sharp enough. Choreography was boring and Aleysha seemed flat. Not impressed this week.

Matt - Tango: 7 - I thought halfway through he looked lost and had forgotton his steps or what was coming next - started great though.

Gethin - waltz: 8

Kenny - Foxtrot: 6 - like the funny bit at begining where he appeared to forget he was dancing

Alesha - Tango: 8

Latin

Matt - Rumba: 8 - bit too much arm waving for me

Gethin - Salsa: 9 - cor that was fast

Alesha - samba: 7 - great song but she was poor

Matt and Flavia (tango) - 7 Bored me. Matt looked petrified and I thought he got lost at one part.
Gethin and Camilla (waltz) - 9, but tempted by a 10 Beautiful. Absolutely gorgeous. A couple of foot faults would be the only thing stopping it from being a 10.
Letitia and Darren (quickstep) - 6 Boring, heavy, too slow for a quickstep.
Kenny and Ola (foxtrot) - 7 Great improvement. Some nice choreography at the start.
Alesha and Matt (tango) - 9 Really liked it and enjoyed Matt's choregraphy

Latin:
Matt and Flavia (rumba) - 7 Nice arms, but as the judges said, no hips in the basic steps. Didn't really feel much of a connection between them either.
Gethin and Camilla (salsa) - 9 Fantastic performance, but too many samba steps and not enought salsa. Torn between an 8 and 9 but I'll give a 9 as I was torn between 9 and 10 for the waltz and gave a 9. Didn't like Camilla in it at all, far too manic, but Gethin was great.
Letitia and Darren (cha-cha) - 5. She does a strange sort of hoppy thing in every dance that bothers me. No hip action in this and heavy again. However, poor girl trying to do it while that ill.
Kenny and Ola (rumba) - 6. I'm in two minds on this. Yes, he had very little to do, but that's down to Ola's choreography and the man generally has less in the rumba anyway. However, the connection between them was beautiful and his arms and lines were very nice.
Matt and Alesha (samba) - 9 The high mark is because of the content of the dance, lots of difficulty executed as well, however the performance was lacking a bit. Think she's really feeling the pressure.

Matt and Flavia - Tango
Was I the only one who found this intensely dull for a tango? Might be being harsh as it's my least favourite couple doing my favourite dance. Anyway, the staccato... wasn't overly sharp, the music was poor, and the choreography wasn't great. Well danced in the most part, though. 7.5

Gethin and Camilla - Waltz
Oh. My. God. By far Gethin's best dance, and definitely the best ballroom of the night. Gorgeous choreography, wonderful musicality, well danced. Can't quite bring myself to say ten, because of a couple of footwork errors, but very, very impressed. 9.5

Letitia and Darren - Quickstep
I was expecting mre from Letitia in this dance - I know she was ill, but I thought the whole thing was a little nondescript. 7

Kenny and Ola - Foxtrot
I was really impressed by this! Kenny's best dance of the series, and I was rooting for him throughout this. Obviously there are better dancers, but well done, Kenny! - 7

Alesha and Matthew - Tango
Very good, actually. I'm highly confused by the judges' scores, however, as as good as this was, it wasn't as good as Zoe and Ian's in series 3, yet gained the same score. Still, good choreography which was lacking a little in the middle I thought, well performed throughout. 9

Latin

Matt and Flavia - Rumba
Much better than the Tango, and has the edge over Gethin's the other week. However, fell into the same trap as Gethin re: the hip work when stepping forward and backward. Still, commendable. 8

Gethin and Camilla - Salsa
I was speechless. I was dreading this slightly, given the difficulty Gethin often has with latin dances, but... wow. Not the neatest dancing I've seen, but overall, amazing. 9

Letitia and Darren - Cha Cha
Poor Letitia. This was dull, and completely lacking in anything that even resembled a hip. Not Letitia's best dance. 6

Kenny and Ola - Rumba
Surprisingly good emotion portrayed here, but very little actual dancing from Kenny - agree with the judges that it was mainly Ola. 6

Alesha and Matthew - Samba
Very slow, and I don't think it ever got going. Solid performance, though, and Alesha seems physically incapable of delivering a poor dance. 8
