Me and my Mum were sat watching it after Rhydians second performance and when she made the comment 'yeah he has got passion just he hasnt come out with ive lost my mum my dad etc' or something along those lines...

Me and my mum were utterly shocked at how out of order that was, not to mention disrespectful i hope someone says something to her because IMHO that was very rude and she seems like a nasty piece of work.

Yeh she did seem a lot more bitchy and nasty tonight. Don't like Danni at all.

Eh? She was just trying to say that he doesn't rely on sob stories. Her wording was a little harsh maybe but I got her point.

It came across as quite cold, but it was a point that has been made on here countless times about people playing up their sob stories.

I applauded when she said that - the pathetic emotional blackmail has really got out of hand this year - I don't care about their dead relatives or their hard upbringings or whatever - this is a SINGING competition!

I agree with what she meant but the way she said it was just harsh and a nasty dig at Niki (who has obviously been deeply affected by her father's death).

I thought she was on the money. People go through sad things in their lives every day, and most deal with them with grace and humility. To drag your personal tragedies through VTs week in week out on an ITV talent show in order to gain more votes is pretty cheap. I don't know how many more ways Louis can milk Niki's loss of her father.

She's probably been reading these forums, I find it quite rich considering she hated him and didnt even want him in her group at the beginning, how 2 faced can you get!

Sorry but Dannii hit the nail on the head. He is the ONLY one with no sob story.

My own baby died a few years ago and it was absolutely heartbreaking... still is but I would NEVER use that in a job interview.... Please employ me because......

I would want to judged on being me and not what has happened to me.

I agree with what Danni said. Why not judge the acts simply on their talent and not their sob stories.

She could have expressed it better but lets face it she was bang on with her point. Who was not sick of Beverley's school kids storyline? Or all the sob stories in bootcamp. I hardly got to see the actual acts due to all the time that was given to the likes of Icaro's background.

i'd imagine dannii has been dying to say something about it for a while and then she had a chance to say something and just blurted it out when she could. perhaps not with the best wording.

I dont think Dannii meant any harm by that remark. I took it more that she didnt like contestants using these situations to justify themselves being more worthy of winning. I would say that she would have a lot of sympathy for people who have suffered a trauma, especially in her own situation with Kylie's scare.

even so it was disrespectful to niki she could of phrased it better, and rhydian does have a sob story who doesnt? he just chooses not to display it to the world.

Louis still managed to get in a 'your dad would be so proud' comment though.

Danni was right. I can not stand the sob stories, how do I rate. I lost my husband and two small sons in a road accident. I don not expect to go throught life going on about that. Every one loose their parents but not their kids.

Have to admit my eyes rolled to the ceiling when louis mentioned YET AGAIN how proud Niki's Dad would be to hear her sing! - perhaps Dani was a little harsh how she said it - but never the less - spot on!
