Does anyone know why Matt was saying "i'm so sorry" to Flavia as he finished his tango, I thought he must have mucked up his footwork but I can't find anything wrong.

Can't be certain, but I think he lost the choreography at one point and took a few steps to get it back. Maybe it will all be revealed on ITT next week.

I didn't either, but he looked like he was going to cry throughout the rest of the night so he must have done something wrong somewhere. Any dance experts in the house?

Matt's Salsa last week was fantastic. However is tango was very dodgy tonight performance wise.

Alesha displayed how to do a tango,.

I know, it was gorgeous wasn't it? And Mr Cutler's stern face...

I remember thinking at the time that something didn't look "right", but I can't remember exactly what it was that made me think so.

I'm sorry but how can these dancers both amateur and professional dance, with passion, to such dire music. The fact that they do says something for their skills.
However when we get Rumbas and Tangos danced to music that has nothing to do with the feeling of those dances then I am left completely unmoved and bored.

Jealousy was the only piece of music, tonight, that was remotely like a tango. Why does the programme insist on placating the young voters by playing, what to me, is inappropriate music?

Please, please stop pandering to the young voting masses, who should be out enjoying themselves on a Saturday night and not stuck indoors watching SCD on Television

This is the only dance from tonight's show I've actually seen. From what I caught while trying to clear up empty wine glasses off the floor and hiding from my manager, it looked good. But then, Flavia's stunning and I wasn't really watching Matt!

I like the song choice! I didn't like the singing of it tonight

I think he messed a bit up. He seemed to just stand still for a while.
He's very god at picking the dance back up again though.

i thought it looked a bit like he kind of winged ti for a few steps as it didnt look quite right for a second. but he did a good job of picking it back up

I didnt like the tango much, it bored me.
I loved Matt last week with his salsa but this week he came across like a grumpy little 5 year old.
He didn't look happy when Alesha and Gethin got better votes then him which i did not find very gracious.
Gethin is meant to be his friend.

I think Flavia mucked up with the choice of music. Bad choice, and the singers made it ten times worse. Made it hard to sell it as a tango, whereas Alesha and Matthew's music made it much easier for them to get into the dance.

I really loved Matt's Tango ... cannot see where he went wrong if he did ... the only thing that really put me off is that he looked petrified from begining to end ... maybe that's why he was saying sorry ... could be he knew that he didn't sell the dance ...

I think that Matt's just being really hard on himself, and it can come across as being ungracious towards the others, as you say. I know he is competitive, like they all are, but I don't think this is what it was here. When he gets in one of those white-faced, quiet, "downer" type moods, its always when he feels he's mucked up, and is upset at himself. I think it's more that he can't get it out of his head, rather than that he's not happy for his friends if they do well.

I think Matt takes it all very seriously indeed, he is something of a perfectionist and wants to excel. No point in doing a job if you don't give it your all, sort of thing. He is not the type to begrudge someone else high marks, just kicking himself that he didn't do better - but he did do well!

I know this probably isn't help to any of you but when Matt and Flavia are in the corner of the dancefloor? (after the 2nd section of the tick tock), it seems that Flavia goes to put her leg around Matt but he obviously isn't where he is meant to be as she ends up doing a little flick instead. Hope that makes sense to someone because after reading it back it sure doesn't make sense to me!

My first thought when I heard they were using that song was 'it could work but that is so fast' and that seems to be exactly what their undoing was.

Matt understandably could not dance to that pace and so they didn't quite match the music and it lost an awful lot of impact because of it. He seemed to be concentrating so much on getting it right that his performance was quite blank.

I liked their Tango - 7s from Craig & Arlene were a bit harsh.

Is exactly what I think as well!!! Started well, but then they dropped the pace and that is where it all went a bit flat for me.

Exactly! They were fine with the slower part at the beginning but as soon as that faster pace came in they didn't dance to match it and it made it look odd. (We agree and awful lot, don't we? )

I thought that, was that why he said "ouch" then?

There was one bit where I think he was supposed, to flick his legs through Flavia's (saw them rehearsing it on ITT) and only Flavia did it, think thats the bit you on about. Still seemed pretty good to me.

I thought there was a bit about half way through, think it was in front of the judges where it looked like he's gone wrong, but I could be mistaken.
