Panasonic TH-37PX70 picture not as good?

Reading a review in a magazine it said the resolution is 'a low 1024 x 720'. Not being too clued up on such things is this something to be concerned about compared to other HD ready TV's?

BTW it still has a rave review.

It's an excellent TV.

As far as the resolution is concerned the unusual looking 1024x720 is due to it having rectangular pixels. The 720 horizontal lines is a bit less than comparable 37/42" panels which tend to have 768 lines but it is still within the HD Ready specs.

Every review I have read has praised it to the heavens. Several have commentated that despite have a lower resolution than rivals it produces a better picture.

The only minus I would have against it is that it is a little lacking in inputs compared to older PX60 or some rivals.

By inputs do you mean HDMI? What's the disadvantage there. As far as I know it's got 2, do I need more?

Must be a Panasonic thing, mine's only a meagre 32", but i agree, after i changed from "dynamic" to the "normal" mode the picture is excellent.

Me too on my TH42PX70 - it was set to Dynamic on arrival (not nice!).
