I bought a Panasonic DMR-HS2 which has DVD-R and DVD-RAM capabilities plus a 40gig Hard Disc Drive. To get all info check out this forum. http://thewholewideweb.com/forum/default.asp?CAT_ID=7

It was the best thing I bought for a long time. You can also input tapes from from MiniDV camera and it will read all Digital Camera memory cards.

I think it is brilliant.
