I have just looked at the dtg website and there is an update broadcasing from 10pm tonight that I believe has been released to resolve the Freeview Judder problem (version 1012)

It affects my Samsung LE40M87BDX tv.

Fingers crossed.

Just leave your TV on a mux 1 channel ie BBC1 and wait. Updates being broadcast through to Thursday - ends 9am, 6th Dec.

(edit...That's after you have sorted your mux1 problem!)

Select BB1 freeview which is on Multiplex 1.

On mine I had to select the d.menu and search the menu's until you find system and the option will be in there.

You will then have an option to Manual Upgrade or System Standby.

You don't have much time to grab it so get it when you can.

When I first loaded this update I had a white line down the left hand side of the screen, it would come and go with different pictures. I did a reset of the freeview system which reset everything, then I rescanned the channels.
Everything apperars fine now.

If i knew how, i would, tried rescanning many a time, not sure why it isn't picking up Mux1 when I get majority of other channels.... ANy hints, before I have to call an aerial fella in

whats your signal strength? Mines 95%

Do you also have the right group aerial for digital?

In my area for analogue Tv I had a Group A aerial, for Digital I had to change it to a Wideband Aerial.

Have you ever received any channels on Mux1?

Now that you've done a reset have you checked that the update hasn't been removed?

I had problems with CH5 and QVC, I had it at first but it sort of got worse until the scan could no longer even find it.

I put some new cable in (the good sat stuff) and everything was fine, about 90% strength.
I also decided to get a new aerial as the old one wasn't wideband and that gave me an extra 5% and a much better picture on analogue.

Odd thing is my mother uses a different aerial and she carn't get ITV3 without breakup but never had a problem with five.

It seems these things are very sensitive.

Have you tried the aerial straight into the TV as sometime other things like VCR's DVD's extra can cancel out the channel if they are on the same frequency.

I suppose I had better get the aerial checked, its been up a while, used to have a freeview box hooked up, but never really used it, changed to Sky...

Don't have a problem with the freeview box in the bedroom but that runs off a different aerial... Only just started using Freeview because it was built into the new telly

Sorry to trouble you mlythaby

I have a similar Samsung model number to you and also what sounds like the same line problem as you. I've replied to the thread here:

http://www.digitalspy.co.uk/forums/s...3#post20116873

I appreciate it was over a year ago but if you could please reply.

Thanks

Sorry dont have the Tv or box any more. Had to change the pace output back to video to solve the problem.

My Amstrad Box was fine on RGB however.

Maybe they will do download that gives Samsung sets some kind of natural colour balance, now that would be the Holy Grail of downloads
