sony 32inch LCD laptop connection ?????

hey i bought a sony bravia the other day and i connect the laptop straight into the LCD when i go to the PC channel the windows logo pops up
then it goes blank again just as the desktop comes on and it says no sync .

whats causing this ????any help

Resolution on the laptop is probably wrong (assuming the laptop is actually sending a signal to the TV in the first place .... mine didn't, I had to configure it to do so).

Thats the error message that comes up on my Sony if the resolution on the laptop is too high. Dunno the spec on your particular TV but it should tell you in the manual somewhere what resolutions it supports from VGA input ... change you laptop to match that.
