Isn't it a tad hypocritical to appeal in your opening post for humerous, witty dialogue and fun between fellow FMs then brag about how easy it is to ridicule those same FMs in this post.

It appears that you are just as guilty of wanting to "have your cake and eat it" as those FMs to whom your remarks are directed.”

no it's not hypocritical at all, if i'm mocked, derided (how can anybody be humiliated by a line of text from an anonymous user of a message board?) then i'll never call you a troll. if you disagree with me, that doesn't make you a troll. if you engage in banter, jokes etc with me, that's all part of life's rich tapestry. so no, no hypocrisy at all.

at the end of the day, it's a game show, a game. an invention whose purpose is entertainment. not bitterness, not paranoia, not the incredibly precious oh-poor-me-they-said-something-i-don't-like culture round these parts.

Of course it is hypocritical to say you want friendly banter with fellow FMs whilst admitting ridiculing those same FMs. It is unreasonable to expect other posters to respond in a light hearted manner to you when you make snide and provocative comments to and about them.

The purpose of this forum is to discuss the game show I'm a Celebrity - it's contestants and presenters, the tasks, editing, live feed and evictions. If you focused on those topics rather than other contributors then you will be much more likely to achieve the objectives you proposed in your opening post.

Got to say, that post had me splitting my sides. Possibly, one of the wittiest posts ever.

Sometimes the "oh poor me they said something I don't like" is totally justified I've seen loads of nastiness here, and so have you, otherwise you wouldn't have posted the pledge in the first place.

Retain a sense of humour, it's only a bit of fun.

Don't whinge and cry CONSPIRACY when things don't go the way you'd like them.

Accept that not everybody likes the same people as you do, and it's NOTHING to do with their gender/age/size/sexual orienation etc.

Encourage lively and witty debate.

Don't let this forum become another big brother forum.”

Oh that's rich.
Trying to get people to post how you want them to post.

I remember you yourself as a poster who tried to kill fun and was having a go at other posters accusing them of being 'fans' who did this or did that.

I remember the forum itself generally being fun a lot of the time, and nothing whatsoever like a typical Big Brother forum.

If people believe that the show is weighted to favour a certain contestant, then tough, that's their opinion.
I've seen many posters put that point across in very humorous ways, and it was the people being sarcastic towards them who were lacking a sense of humour.
That's just somebody else's opinion that you'll have to accept.

Generally I found the forum to be quite a pleasant and fun environment to post in this series. Many posters made me laugh.
The only downer I found was the occasional post by the behaviour police who didn't enjoy a sense of fun and who were making digs at certain posters accusing them of things which I could see with my own eyes they were NOT guilty of.

I can't believe that you've actually set up an opening post that tries to persuade people to post what you want them to.
It's a forum, and as such all that matters is that people are allowed to post their opinions, whether that is commentary on how they feel the production side of things presents things, or whatever else. The only remit is that posters show respect towards each other and don't attack other posters.

There's no 'Let's agree to post like this', there is just the forum rules and guidelines to go by and it's as simple as that. That's the only agreement that matters, and the only agreement that should matter.
Diversity of opinions is to be encouraged, and not stifled by trying to get people to agree to a limiting manifesto of what to post about and what not to post about.

So needless to say, I won't be signing up to your manifesto based on how and what you want other people to post about.

If having a laugh makes me a troll, then that's a very sad day indeed. It seems that there's a great big hypocrisy to which a lot of people are blind, that anything that disagrees with you is trolling, and anything you say which is ridiculing, insulting or negative in any other way, is just "telling it how it is".

Cake and eat it time.”

Good start eh?
Leading by example are you?
I'm sure you've convinced loads of people to sign up to your forum posting manifesto now.

Fact is, my impression of you two is that you're a couple of trolls coming here to wind people up and deriving great pleasure from it - as trolls do.”

Davina's words from previous post with reference to Janice...

"she's getting on a bit now, so perhaps she could do with putting her feet up and having a well-deserved facelift"

Hardly the words of an unbiased champion of reason and sensible debate, a tad hypocrytical methinks.
