My fav has been Rhydian but Niki has always been my second fav.

I was touched by the story of her finding out that her late father had got the application forms for her and I loved (and still do) her voice.

Although it is not now all down to her that we get the sob story, but it has gone beyond tacky for me.

However for me my main problem is her attitude. The way she talks about being a dinner lady is as if such people are the dregs of society and she is worth more.

I am also a bit tired of her attitude to the judges. It's like of they don't like a performance, they are picking on her.

If Rhydian wasn't still in the competition. I would have a real problem in will her to win.

I have noticed that there aren't that many threads about Niki, is that because people arn't that impressed with he singing, but because of her attitude.
Anyone else been put off her in the same way.

Or is there another act that you want to like but can't, if so who are they and why?

NIki's dad is dead?

Of the 4 left in, Niki would be my least favourite *person* based on what I have witnessed in the LIVE singing (so can't be edited a al Riddler early on). Not really fair to ever say you dislike a person you have never met I don't suppose so I'll leave it as least favourite. Although she's a good singer (easily the 2nd best of those left in), I wouldn't be very happy if she won.

Leon. I really like his voice (most of the time) but his performance skills are so dire that I find it very difficult sometimes to get behind him. Good stage presence and showmanship are very important to me and I can't quite get over his problems in this area.

I don't really have a problem with Niki's attitude like I did with Beverley. I just don't think Niki is particularly media savvy and comes across badly sometimes.

Louis is her main problem; making her milk the sob story and generally being a complete w*nker.

I'd agree with Niki for this. She has a good voice but while it might just be bad editing she doesnt come across as a very nice person. Not knowing her personally this is just what I get from watching her on saturdays - she might be really lovely for all I know.

Yes, I haven't taken a shine to Niki either and yet she actually gave easily my favourite vocal performance of the series when she did Nothing Compares 2 U. There is just something about her that prevents me from warming to her but I can't put my finger on exactly what it is.

I think I'd like Rhydian a lot more too if it weren't for all the hype although he can't be personally blamed for that obviously.

Rhydian. He has the best voice in the competition but there's just something very off-putting and robotic about him. I don't see any warmth or vulnerability there. His performances last Saturday left me cold.

Niki.

I feel I should be praising her as she generally puts in a good performance, but there is something about her that grates on me.

It might be the "dead dad" story that has been overdone. Both my parents are sadly now dead and I miss them very much, but I wouldn't use this as a way to further my career.

Or it might be that she has been a bit "samey", all powerful ballards, and the only "risk" elements haven't been too great to watch (the trombone incident and the grappling with the young male dancers).

Part of me says she is good, the other part of me says she couldn't make a career as she has a "normal" family at home and she would struggle if she was suddenly away from them for long periods of time.

I feel a win for her would be a wasted win, so I struggle to support her, even though I happily accept she is a good act.
