Leon is actually the Marmite singer on X Factor - interesting change

If DS is anything to go by its actually Leon that is the Marmite singer on the show and not Rhydian. Peropel either seme to love Leon or loathe him. Rhydian over all seems more well liked across the board.

I'd never have thought that before show 1 of the series.

I hardly think Rhydian is popular 'across the board', though he does enjoy support, rightfully so!

I dont think so, i don't hate Leon or love him, I just don't think he should be there because he has no presence. I feel the same way about Niki. They're both just a waste of airtime.

Awww, no presence, and it's Christmas soon too.

I think Rhydian is still the 'marmite' singer. I don't think there is any middle ground with him - you either love him/his voice or you hate it (I'm in the latter).

With Leon I just don't care that much either way. He's quite nice to listen to, but I don't care that much for him. I don't love him or hate him though.

The problem with Leon, is that his fans over-rate him (far too much) and his haters don't give him enough credit. I like Leon, he's a good singer and he really is the dark horse. He can't perform - but neither could Leona.

That's a really good summary, though I dont 100% agree with the Leona bit.

I cant even watch Leon any more cos I find him really boring, and I really really hope he goes on Sat, but I will happily accept to the fact he has got a good, though not spectacular voice. And I completely agree that some of his fans over-hype him to the extent that an X Factor novice would believe he has the best voice in the world.

I agree with every word (I've quoted).

I also think it was manipulated that Leon sing with his hero Michael Buble to give him a boost against the Rhyd, as he seems to be slipping...

Leon is hardly slipping, he's getting stronger and stronger. His odds of winning are shortening all the time with the bookies.

Without a doubt he is. That was the whole point of the theatrical first few weeks - to get people talking about him - either in a good way or otherwise. The Marmite comment has worked like a charm - everyone I speak to has a view on him and there is no middle ground.
There is a problem however. In a field of 5, acts having 50% hate you is not a problem, but when we get down to 2 acts it seems likely to make the vote even closer than many of you expect. Danni has been OK as a mentor but it seems to me that Maths is not her strong point.
