no sound through surround sound system
hi
i have a 37 wlt 68, and have just bought a sony surround sound system ( HT-SF1100 ). i get sound for sky, though it appears it is ever so slightly off sinc. not sure how that can be resolved. this is connected via an optical lead. the sound is ahead of the movement. any ideas pls? the dvd ( DMR - EX 75 ) and tv are connected via hdmi leads to the surround system. i am getting no sound through the tv or dvd. I have looked through the set up and can see nothing that will help. i have checked the cables any ideas pls? |

try connecting the dvd and tv to the surround with phono-phono cables if you have the connections. also have a play with the input on the amp. i can only get tv sound when it is on AUX, not T.V. SOUND.

Just read a review of this unit and sound id NOT transferred via HDMI!!!! Try this: use AUX phono for TV (although I imagine that 99.9% of your TV viewing is managed by Sky+) and select AUX on amp when watching TV. When watching Sky+ select optical as you have been doing. For the DVD just use the 2nd optical in and switch to this when watching DVDs. Rgds, Scorp |
