“
KING Of The Jungle Christopher Biggins is joining the GMTV team.
The 58-year-old will bring viewers the latest gossip in TV Pick Of The Day.
A spokesman said: “He’s replacing Richard Arnold while he’s on holiday next week and will be back on screen in January.”
Biggins makes his debut on the ITV1 early morning show on December 11.”

Why doesn't that surprise me?

ITV are about as subtle as a freight train. We knew Biggins already had an ITV career lined up before he went into the jungle, but this really stinks. The Biggins love and unfair nature of the show has left a bitter taste in my mouth.

What's the point in voting if we can't choose who wins? The show just becomes an extended advert for ITV's next "chosen one".

All this and an ITV spokesman said everything was edited fairly on I'm a Celebrity!

It's a great show, but I wish bias editing and support by the media wouldn't ruin it.

GMTV is already cringeworthy so they have brought in Biggins to make things worse. Richard Arnold is awful but Biggins.....

All I can say is thank god I don't watch daytime TV.

WOW! I didn't see that coming.

GMTV a company that stole millions by way of telephone fraud and now manipulates telephone votes once again to enable a higher profile for a future or signed up employee.

Well I can't put up with his seedy seven in a bed mug till the end of January and if I were Arnold I would watch my back so to speak, that Biggins is the Devil.

So will he be doing a review on his orgies and swinging parties?

Oh crikey, this signals a return for all the old hasbeens to return. On his talk show that he will undoubtedly get (he auditioned for Parky in the jungle, remember) Joan C, Cilla and all the dross from 80s Saturday night tv to appear...Groannnnnnnnnnnnnnn

" Surprise, surprise, the unexpected hits you between the eyes", wish it was between the legs in Biggin's case

In order to save some money to put towards their huge fine, for phone rigging, perhaps ITV could ask Biggins to don a blonde wig a la Fern Britton and host This Morning. Then he could nip across to the Loose Women studio, still wearing aforementioned wig, and stand in for Denise Welch.

Tiggah your post had me guffawing almost as much as Biggins. As for the bit in bold, make that Davinawho as well. Or better still do what I did, stick both the saddos on ignore. They'll soon get bored and find someone else to bait.

Fired for what? Having sex?

I have been amazed by the attitude on here towards a bit of good old group sex!

Why do you people bother to vote, it`s just way to easy for GMTV to fleece yet again.

The attitude here?
I'm not talking about my attitude, I'm talking about the attitude of ITV.
Don't presume to know what my own attitude is because you simply don't know.

No, not about just having sex. That's not what I said and you know that.
I'm talking about when particular lifestyle habits of some celebrities have been uncovered before.
Angus Deaton is one who springs to mind.

ITV is even worse. As soon as a celebrity on a family ITV show has been found out to be up to behaviour unsuitable for their image, they end up getting fired and replaced with somebody else.
If Philip Schofield was found to enjoy wild S&M parties where he liked to get whipped senseless then I'd imagine that he'd be booted out of the ITV door faster than his arse could touch the ground.

At the moment ITV appear to be enjoying a period of a bit of a Biggins fetish.

Sorry, I was replying to you but that comment was not aimed at you really, it just seems that every time i come on here recently someone has been metioning his group sex in a negative way.

Promoting swinging parties and multiple partners on what is seen as a family show?

I would have thought it would have been more fitting in the 10pm + slot on Channel 4 or Five.

Maybe it's just me.

Biggins and Fiona? It's almost enought to make you vomit. I don't wanted to treated like a moron when I watch TV and this pain make me feel like I'm some sort of imbecile. They both talk at you.

Oh please santa, all I want for xmas is decent presenter to wake up to in the morning who don't speak to me like I'm a child.

Biggins in a CLOWN for heaven's sake. A clown and the wife of the boss. Is this the best British TV has to offer?

Isn't that the premise of of that programme? All fluffy & ridiculous.........which is precisely why I don't watch it. (with or without Biggins)

I think you and I are about the only two that seem to grasp this point

If you want prize-winning journalism, then don't watch bloody GMTV. The BBC equivalent is a bit too po-faced for my taste, but at least tends to focus a bit more on news events rather than celebrity culture.

For that matter, if you want anything other than lowest-common denominator entertainment, then don't watch anything on either channel before about 6pm - please find something more constructive to do with your time

This is the television equivalent of what I've said in another thread about red-top newspapers and magazines like Heat, OK and so on.

Actually I agree too....finally, after watching GMTV for far too long! I used to wonder why I put up with it but I suppose like anything else it can become a habit and you get too lazy to break it, or at least I did. Still, they have done me a huge favour with this Biggins lurve fest - finally got me to switch over the Beeb!

Now there's an oxymoron for you.

Re BBC, even News 24 goes over & over in a loop with the same thing. If I've seen it once that's enough for me.

Having said that, I watch no daytime TV (it rots your brain) in fact I don't watch a lot of TV.....I'd rather read a book & listen to music.

Ah ha, makes sense now. This is probably one of the shows that he will be on with Janice Dickinson. Heard him on five live earlier and he said they were appearing on a tv show together but he doesn't think that she knows he'll be there yet and it should be interesting. Also name dropping as usual. Says Daniel Craig, JK Rowlin ad Jimmy Nail said they voted for him.
