My friend has bought himself a HD satellite receiver. His dish is pointed towards 28.2E. He is getting the usual channels there but does not know how to tune in to a high definition one. I think HD broadcasts start about 20:00 local from the BBC. Can anyone help please. This is not a SKY setup. Thanks in advance.

A full scan (method as per the manual) should pick up all the channels on the satellites required including the HD ones. The BBC HD channel broadcasts 24/7 with demos running when their is no "proper" programming on.

If you provide the specific model I guarantee someone will own one and provide further info

Thanks Jarrak.

The receiver is a TECHNOMATIC TM-6900 HD Combo.

He tells me he has done a full scan and installed a fresh LNB ( HD compliant )
