Leon being set up for a fall
Leon has bene given a treat this week to ensure the public think he is getting preferential treatment.
He has also been given rather poor low key songs. The majority of support of him (not DS heavywights) will think he's safe and not vote. Expect a surprise |

seeing as it could be Niki, SD or Leon which seem to be about even... if any of them go it wouldn't be a surprise
The biggest surprise would be if Rhydian got the boot really |

If he goes this week, I'll vote for Niki next week, or something even worse. I'm THAT confident he'll stay.

I don't think Leon is any more safe than Niki or Same Difference and if people assume he is it could work against him.

I think people are reading rather too much into this Buble thing. I don't see it as him being given a treat by the show, more likely that Buble, knowing Leon is a huge fan, asked him to perform with him. Since the others are not really fans of his, why would he ask them along too? I think the show had little or nothing to do with it.
Furthermore, I'd be surprised if it is referenced in his VT, I think the focus for all the acts will surely be on the Oxford Street show they did last night and the Masterclass session they all had with Buble. Maybe it will be mentioned in passing in the Xtra Factor, but I doubt more than that. Also, the claims his songs are 'low key' are laughable. They are two out and out classic songs that have been recorded by some of the greatest acts in the history of music - From Nat King Cole to Rod Stewart, Marvin Gaye to Frank Sinatra. They are cracking song choices right in the heart of the genre he does best. They will showcase his voice really well, just like You Don't Know Me did....

Some people have been saying every week that Leon will go out and he's still here! I wouldn't underestimate the Scottish vote, people, nor the votes from young girls who fancy him and they are the majority of the voters.

I don't understand the premise of this argument at all. I saw that youtube clip of the concert and even though the sound was really bad you could tell that the audience absolutely loved it. And the thread on here was full of people saying how nice it was, even it they weren't particular supporters of Leon.
So I don't get it. Why is he being 'set up for a fall'? |

So I don't get it. Why is he being 'set up for a fall'? There's a better audio on this clip and he sounds superb... ![]() http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-1RYtUnDwPc And to answer your question, it is wishful thinking...

Thanks Muttley76 - have just listened to it and you are right Leon certainly held his own and showed that maybe one day he could be the next Michael Buble, Vote Leon on Saturday - let's hope that the talentless Same Difference are shown the door.

That was so interesting to watch! It must surely put paid to all the nonsense about Leon not being able to sing. He was so good. Bless him the way he was just going to sneak off the stage without taking a bow and Buble calling him back. He seems like a really nice person, Buble I mean.
thanks Muttley! |

Whatever Leon sings, his fans will vote. That's how it works now.

I don't think any of the 4 are safe and it will not surprise me at all if Rhydian goes this week. He is starting to sound a bit boring.
