More Dominance From The 16-24 Category...
can they ever be stopped?
For the third year in a row, we look set to have a 16-24 winner. In fact, for the second year in a row, the top 2 may be 16-24. In X Factor 1, we had Steve and G4 as the finalists, but since then, the groups have got progressively worse and the 25+ can't make themselves relevant to the music industry. What kind of group or 25+ contestant could actually win AND go on to achieve some success? Personally, I think for the groups, it's most likely to be a sexy, non ballad singing male group. Perhaps doing a mix of some recent indie tunes and also some RnB on the live shows. For the 25+, I actually think Daniel would have been an ideal winner had he been able to sing. |

The younger singers are just more relevant and have more chance of being successful. The over 25s nearly always look dated and people just never seem to take to the groups as much as individual singers.
