Pass the bucket -

Quote:
“Marc admitted: "My heart tells me I need to be with Cerys. I hope to settle down and have children with the right woman. I think Cerys is that woman."
Meanwhile Cerys gushed: "I'm in love with Marc and I think he feels the same.

"I'd like us to spend the rest of our lives together – I've found a soulmate and because I'm a hopeless romantic I want to be with him forever." ”

'Marc and Cerys have since publically declared their feelings for one another in separate newspaper interviews which are thought to have earned them more than £100,000.'

What a genuine pair (of {insert word of choice here} )

There are some that lap this rubbish up and no doubt they are already trawling the shops looking for the Marc and Cerys engagement plate and mug.

I myself see this as nothing less than a form of prostitution from a couple that not for the invention of television may have been skulking the backstreet's promising tit-elation for a Shilling.

Does anyone actually care about this pair?

Couldn't care less about them as a couple but I do like Marc as eye candy and wish he'd lasted a bit longer in the jungle so that we could have seen whether he had a personality or not, how he would have reacted to the nonsense of Lynne, Janice and Rodney and whether he has any real charm or is it an act. As it is, all we know about him is what his bitter ex-girlfriend has written and this "I'm in love" boredom.

Why in gods earth do Newspapers, OK, Hello and all the other tripe think we want to read this rubbish and then make matters worse by paying obscene amount of money out for "an exclusive"

Dear god.

I personally couldn't give a toss about either of them. They're both boring, and I wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them. Specially after reading what she did to her ex husband !!!

According to the papers, Cerys' ex-husband has said that she was emotionally abusive when they were together. Then one day, completely out of the blue, she said she was taking their kids to school. A couple of hours later, she phoned him from New York saying that she was just about to get on a plane to Wales with the kids and that she wanted a divorce.

That's just the one side of the story, of course, but it certainly doesn't paint her in a great light.

Well, I think it was very harsh that he was voted out so soon. I was gutted, and I think he would have been a good character in there to have further down the line.

But the general public all seemed to create this 'mob' mentally (we must get him out because he 'upset' his girlfriend) - and collectively decided to evict him from the jungle.

If he did fall in love with Cerys (which, I personally think is true), it's not something he could have helped. I don't think he would have personally wanted to become the 'love rat' he is now being portrayed as - at the very moost he probably wanted to revive his acting career, or replenish his finances - and who are we to object?

He should have been kept in there, so's we could see if 'the romance' was just a flash in the pan.

In reality programmes, why do people always eject the more interesting characters and keep the bland ones?

"J" from Five and Gemma long outstayed their welcomes - I really don't think they contributed to much in the jungle in the way of entertainment. We know they were valued by their jungle mates, but unfortunately this is not something really transfered through our screens.

And the VERY man that was rejected first, now has ALL the headlines, proving he did, in fact bring an interesting story to the table!

Everyone is being way too harsh on Marc and Cerys - It happens. There is no conspiracy - they just met and hit it off...Simple as!

Because we do!
They wouldn't pay out massive money for exclusives if it didn't make a significant difference to sales.

As you've said: 'This doesn't paint her in a good light'

I really, really don't agree. I'm assuming she loves her children. I'm assuming she also wants what is best for them. She did what she thought was best for her family. If he was abusive it was not a good place to bring up kids so she left. If she had told him they were leaving, he may have become more abusive and she would never have been able to leave.

I think this is the actions of a brave and concerned mother.

The thing is..

...if the papers didn't think there was a demand for their story, there is no way they would be paying thousands for them to tell it - the papers know there is an interest, which is the only reason why this story is still in the news.

There are loads of people objecting to Marc and Cerys on DS and elsewhere, but I thnk most people who watched the show do secretly want to know what happens with them.

We ALL saw the show, we ALL saw when the sparks flew, and I believe we ALL witnessed them falling for each other.

I seriously doubt Marc would have gone through all this to 'sell his story' - Even if he was desperate for the publicity, I really question whether he would risk his two year relationship for a 'couple of weeks of interest' from the tabloids.

Does NO ONE think what happened in the jungle was genuine? It looked real enough to me - I believe they really shared a moment in there.

I think everyone should lay off with their negative opinions and give them a chance.

At least if 'they do' actually prove to work on the outside world, the disintegration of a relationship was not in vain.

People need to back up and stop being so cynical.

I can understand Sarah Matravers 'outbursts' in the press this week. The girl is hurting and she is just lashing out. I don't think she too would have relished this type of situation - even if she has been able to earn a couple bucks and raise her profile through all this. At the end of the day she has lost her fella through a TV programme.

They are human beings at the end of the day - and I am sure they would take a steady relationship over the lure of being a tabloid bunny.

Just trying to say, its happened now, and they are trying to deal with the fallout.

Marc and Cerys both seem to want to rebuilt their careers, and have just happened to meet in the process.

Jordan and Peter met in the jungle and are now married with a family - and Jordan had a fella at the time - but I don't remember HER getting the hard time Marc has got - what's that about???

Let the situation just grow organically and see what happens.
