Simon Cowell admits to Dannii that he was wrong about Leon and now recognises his huge latent talent, so perhaps he was the influence behind Leon's great songs this week.

Leon's boost as a result of his Wembley concert (as detailed by Dannii on Loose Women) has certainly caught the imagination of Simon and the rest of the panel. The fact that no other X Factor artist has ever been entrusted with such a comnpliment and the fact that Leon got a standing ovation from the 12,000 strong crowd will probably ensure Simons continued support.

When Michael Buble compliments Leon this Saturday, his popularity will soar and he should make the final 2 (alongside Niki perhaps).

Well done Leon

As much as I like Leon , I do believe that Rhydian is the winner , already decided by Cowell.

Leon is being bigged up to get the votes in , as hardly anyone is bothering to vote this year , since votes are down 50%.

Huge latent talent? I genuinely think that's the first time I've ever seen those 3 words in the same sentence let alone in that order. What does it mean?

I wouldn't really say his supporting Leon, I'm pretty sure he is right behind Rhyd. The only judge I think might be out and out supporting Leon is Sharon, who has very little influence anyway.

I do agree Leon should have a good show this week, though, and I also think he is the preferred runner up overall by TPTB. That's not to say he doesn't have a shot at winning, but you'd have to say Rhyd is the likely winner at this stage. Still, not bad for a kid who had never performed in front of any kind of audience this time last year...

Also not bad for a boy who got the chance to duet with THE Michael Buble in front of 12,000 people at Wembley

HI Muttley I think you are right about Sharon. I am a Rhyd fan so I don't know what will be going on this weekend.

Just that it has been reported that Buble was raving about Leon after his masterclass, and I mean that literally, saying he was up there with the best of the best in their genre of music and so forth. It will make for an interesting VT I think, obviously I don't know how the actual performances are going to go (), but I do think Leon has two cracking songs.

Anyway, we will find out tomorrow...

I think Sharon is the only other judge, apart from Danni that has supported Leon, from the start of the live shows. In the last 2 weeks Simon and Louis have jumped on the band wagon.

I think Leon has a good chance of winning, I don't think it's a one horse race, like it was last year.

But last year it was a two horse race in the final and Ray very nearly won as he did better in one song and equally well in the second - had the single suited him as well as it did Leona, he might have even managed it.

Seriously!?

I thought with the exception of I Will Always Love You , Leona demolished him with all of her performances!

I don't think they ever said - I know Steve had 60% in series 1.

I'm pretty sure there was a thread about it some time after the finale that said it had been reported Leona had 60% of the vote....

Ray was better with Westlife than she was with Take That - he was a natural and looked like he was a member of the band , she was quite shy and didn't interact as well. I believe he sang My Way very well. The difference was the performance of the single, it could have been written for her and didn't really suit him. She is obviously a better singer but, on that day at least, lacked his charm and natural performing ability.
But it definitely would not not have suited Simon had Ray won.

I don't think Simon thinks Leon is hugely talented - just that he has improved over the past few weeks. He admitted he didn't see why people were voting for him until the last couple of weeks.

I think he is just flattering him to make it look like a closer contest than it really is.

What do you mean with 'its all over the place'. It could well be she ended up with 60%, as did Steve although people said that G4 were ahead at some point. All I'm saying is that he was ahead on performance after the first two songs.

But that is a subjective thing, isn't it - I mean in your opinion he was better on the first two songs. As someone who was completely neutral in the final, I felt that he was pretty poor throughout, but that's just my opinion.

I'm pretty sure Simon still wants a Rhydian/SD final 2 judging from his comments after the show. He definitely seems to want Niki out next though.

Ahh, I see!.

Simon must have let Michael Buble in on his cunning plan then.
