Sorry if this is in the wrong forum, the subject spans a few different ones.

I've recently adapted my old Thomson PVR to allow me to take recordings off the hard disk to a PC and re-author them as proper DVDs.
After re-authoring, the disks play fine on my PC and one my newish DVD player. However they won't play properly on my oldish Pioneer Home theatre set up. The sound is ok but the picture is remeniscent of one of those 'magic eye' 3d pictures. I know the pioneer is a bit sniffy about home recordings but I've tried various makes of disk - including certified 1x -16x disks as well as dvd-r or dvd+r.
I use project X, Womble and DVD shrink to author but I have also tried other programs with the same result. Has anybody any ideas?

TIA

I'MM

sounds to me that your Pioneer isn't compatable with DVD R disks
my 1st ever dvd player(a toshiba) wouldn't play any dvd r of any description, just originals or cds but would play cd r's

I would check in the manual to see if its compatable with such disks. some of the early dvd players wheren't
