Not enough HDMI ports in TV
In my Evesham TV I only have 1 HDMI socket, but I currently have two things to connect, and on the verge of getting a third. I currently have my PS3 and my V+ box, although with only having BBC HD on Virgin, that rarely gets used. But I am considering buying a Sony home cinema system, and that also uses HDMI. A while ago I bought an HDMI block off ebay that would fit 2 at a time. But it's rubbish! When both are plugged into it no signal comes through, so one has to be uncoupled. This is still easier to do though than fumbling around the back of the tv. But the problem is that when on the PS3 I think it seems to get confused and is continuously switching from 1080i to 720p and back, so this constant flashing off (for a couple of seconds at a time) makes games unplayable. So I have ditched the block - may try to offload it onto some poor bugger on ebay.
So what i'd like to know is if anyone has any suggestions, within a reasonable price-range. I would spend upto £40 on making it right. Cheers! |

If you can stretch your budget a bit further then this HDMI switch might do the job.
The cheap ones are all rubbish. |
