I really don't know why but over the last few weeks i've been going more and more off her. There's nothing she has done really to make me go off her, I can't put my finger on it, but I am losing my love for her. And the opposite has happened with Gethin, I didn't get him at all until last Saturday and now Its all about Gethin, I Love Him
Maybe Its the judges and their over praising of her and building her up to something she's not, she started so brilliantly but there has never been a WOW dance that I was expecting from her, the last couple of weeks have been rather underwhelming and coupled with the over marking from the judges have not helped her case.

Well, have to say I've been a Gethin fan since week one and I think Alesha is wonderful and if she wins it will be well deserved.

No I think Gethin is the one who is being over praised and over marked now anyway so there's no need to accuse just Alesha of it.

I take it you got your Wow dance from Gethin last week and that you don't believe that he was overmarked or overpraised for his AS and Jive this week, i so i disagree with you, go vote for Gethin, i'll stick with Alesha and Matt .

Couldn't agree more and I was warming to Gethin for a while. This year the travesty will be if Alesha doesn't win and the way things are going this is what the beeb is aiming for

I look forward to seeing Alesha dance every week, her dancing excites me. She's the one I most look forward to seeing what she's going to produce. I think I've not got bored of her because of her personality too and the partnership. I think that she's so warm & she's really bonded with Matthew.

If she doesn't make the final then the whole thing this year becomes ridiculous IMO.

I don't think I'm a ridiculous fanatic, and I've tried to watch neutrally btw. I also for the first time actually like something about everyone left in the competition.

Nope. She and Matthew are one of my favourite SCD partnerships ever, and I love both her dancing and the way she seems to be having so much fun even though she's working her socks off. But each to their own

No she's still my favourite.
However i will say ive warmed to Gethin loads and have no problem at all if he wins.

Its really not necessary to criticise another contestent or try to turn others against them in order to make your own seem better. I love Alesha's and Matthew'w dances together but I also like Gethin Matt and Letitia but not to such a degree. However, I really do not feel the need to turn anyone against them in order to make Alesha seem better. It is so transparent. Sorry if this sounds rude, its not meant to be.

I still like Alesha and won't mind if she wins, but I am nowhere near as keen on her as I originally was. I don't know why, but to begin with I was a huge fan of hers and it's just slipping. Last week Gethin wowed me and my love for him has been growing since his VW. I won't mind if Alesha wins as she has worked so hard and her and Matt are a fab couple, but I know I would prefer Gethin to win.

I get where you're coming from, but am not in the same position re. Alesha. I'm kind of like that with Gethin though which is odd, I was kind of neutral at the start, thought he had really good potential but over the past 2 or 3 weeks i've been going off him -no idea why!!

Re. the judges and Alesha -they are my main point of frustration. And this is coming from a MAJOR M&A fan. I get so frustrated with their comments and scores. I love Alesha to bits but don't think she's deserved all of the 10s she has got. The judges constantly harp on about how it's the best dancer who should win blah blah yet it is their overmarking and constant emphasis on the greatness of some contestants which is putting people off! Get a clue! It's not Alesha's fault the judges are idiots -even she herself said she thought her Samba was overmarked (I believe she said she agreed with the 8 Arlene gave her?)

This hasn't put me off her though -because you can tell she's loving this experience, she is a joy to watch and I admire the fact that she's been able to keep up such a high standard under all this pressure for perfection that is being placed on her.

I also think WOW dances are different for everyone! It's all up to personal preferences etc! Personally they have given me two wow dances -their foxtrot and their waltz (which says a lot seeing as they're my 2 least favourite ballroom dances!)

I did get a WOW from Gethin last week, it was a great performance and his excitement gave it that WOW factor, even though I would have only given it an 8 or 9, it still had that heart racing feeling, I've been waiting for that from Alesha from the start but it just hasn't come. I think Alesha's Cha Cha put a lot of people off her and the judges over praisal of it. She doesn't have an electric chemistry with Matthew and I think thats his fault, He's too camp for some of the dances especially tonights paso.

I haven't gone off Alesha - I still think she & Matt are the best couple in SCD 2007 at the moment.

Gethin is improving a lot (I don't like him as much as Alesha, but I adore Camilla), but I don't think he is quite up to Alesha's standard yet (especially in latin). I wouldn't be upset if Gethin won (I'd be ecstatic for Camilla), but I will be if it is clearly obvious that he wasn't the best finalist (I'm worried that Alesha might not make the final atm).

Comments about Matt being too camp are laughable - he is the best male pro on SCD by far (and I thought their cha cha was great).

I think her waltzes have been pretty wow, but I think she's had far too many 10's where she should have been getting straight 9's and sometimes 8's. Her 39 was totally overmarked

I can't believe you typed that! He's too camp? He is an amazing dancer and no more camp than any of the other male dancers- if you just want to vote for Gethin fine but please stop being downright rude about other competitors and professionals

I know, how on earth did such a camp man win the world latin championships. And specialising in the paso? Come off it!

I think the OP is just trying to cause a fight.

The problem is the judges scores, I like her, but sadly, through no fault of her own, you see her dance and then you see her scores and i think for some it lessens the WOW factor if you do not feel that she should have got that paticular mark.

If that makes any sense.
