I still think she's head and shoulders above the rest, and she's still my favourite - the music ruined her paso

Alesha doesn't excite me too much but I still enjoy all her dances. I haven't been 'on' her to start with anyway, but I still like her and if/when Matt/Flavia goes I will be rooting for Alesha to win.

Gethin.... for some reason, I liked him better before his 'transformation' (although maybe that's because it coincided with my favourite's downslide....). I really liked him in the rumba, but after that I just can't take to him. I think it's Camilla really - she really puts me off.

I have gone off Alesha. Initially she was very exciting to watch but i think she reached a plateau and it seems there's "nothing new" to her now. She has also admitted blatant mistakes that the judges seem to overlook and overmark. I think improvements with the other celeb's have been more obvious to see than Alesha's too.

That was because she was head and shoulders above most at the beginning!

As someone pointed out earlier -it's harder to go from good to very good, than from awful to average or average to good.

And she has no control of what those judges say/mark. So imo I don't know how she can be blamed for that

Fair points there, however i didn't say she was to blame for the judges comments or overmarking. What i did say was that she had made mistakes which are being overlooked. I wouldn't be sorry to see Alesha in the final or even to win it, but i will stick to my initial point, i have gone off her and she isn't my favourite. We are all individuals with individual views, we can't all think alike can we?

I wasn't saying that you personally were saying Alesha was to blame. It's just that a lot of hard core fans of other competitors (or is it just a few very vocal people ) shove that down our throats constantly. It creates a lot of backlash and it's an external factor she can't control.

(so sorry if it seemed like I was jumping on you! I'm all for individual views etc -but i'm also for defending "my" couple if I feel the need... and i'm a little more sensitive of late!! )

No, I haven't gone off Alesha. My personal favourite is Matt (bless him) but I have always thought, and still do, that Alesha is the best, and should win it.

I have not gone off Alesha I do like her as a dancer, however, I do think that she should not win SCD. (steps back and hides behind sofa for a while... lol).

The reason is because of her previous dance experience, OK not Ballroom but still dancing, learning steps, timing linking to music etc. She has admitted that she was in a dance group early in her career and Pharrell Williams employed her in one of his videos as a Dancer. To me that puts dancer on her CV.

So, as much as I like her and Matt I would prefer a non dancer like Gethin to actually win the show.

And the FM who said Matt is too camp for the Paso, What!

I was very disappointed in M & A Paso simply because there was no cape action from Matthew, I think he is one of the best at Cape Twirling and I had not seen any training footage from it as missed a few ITT so when I heard that they were doing the Paso I was most most looking forward to Matt's cape, so slightly deflated during their performance, even though it was very good.

Looks like man on a J word winner then eh? Why this should be worth rewarding more than someone who does something excellently and works hard is beyond me

I've very impressed with this year's Strictly I think everyone that is left (I'm still 2 weeks behind) has something to offer and I'm really enjoying it this year, so many likable people and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves.

I love to watch Alesha dance, it's obvious that she enjoys it and if she was a professional dancer then I would agree that she would be at a advantage but if you watch her music video it is totally different to ballroom, she has had to work as hard as everyone else. I think her and Matthew are a great partnership.

Alesha has done fab, but she has dance experience, look at Mark last year, he walked in a non- dancer and walked out as someone who has wowed with that At, I think that is what the audience want to see, yes Gethin has gone on a journey but he has also learned to be a fab dancer. it is what the show is all about IMO and do alesha is fab, she has had some training and just my IMO but her dances have failed to excite me, i dont think their is anybody their this year that could compare to Mark or Jill, but for me Gethin has transformed and Darren G didnt prove a bad winner, there was something sweet about a cricketer turning graceful, but Mark has both the journey and the talent for me. perhaps thats what Alesha lacks for me, she has been the same since week one, just my opinion though.

I was a fan of Gethin from the beginning, he has improved so much and has not put as many hours of training in as Alesha, probably due to his Blue Peter job. I have never been a fan of perfect Alesha, she is too loud and in your face, she can d no wrong with the judges. I noticed her and Matt's face after Gethin and Camilla had danced their AS, they knew it was good and they didn't look happy, it looked like a forced smile.

She's been very good from the beginning which does not leave much room for a visible improvement, on the other hand people notice her mistakes. I think we just prefer to look at somebody gethin better And even I was impressed by Letitia, simply because she improved so much. But I still like Alesha and wouldn't mind if she won

I haven't. I think she's absolutely great, but I'm a bit tired of the too-high marks that all of them have been getting (except Matt!). I'd have happily seen a mark taken off every score in this series. What I do like about this series, though, is that there have been so many good dancers (including poor Kelly). Alesha has been most consistent and probably deserves to win it, but it's been good to see the transformation in Gethin and (on the right day) Matt's dances have actually been the ones I've enjoyed the most. With that in mind, I really don't mind who walks away with the crown.
