adding album artwork

Hi - Does anyone know how I add the album cover to my ipod after I have already put all the songs on? I wasnt signed in to my account when i added them from my cd therefore it didnt pick it up. Surely I don't have to remove all the songs & add them again?

Add the artwork to the tracks in iTunes, and it should update the files on your iPod when you next sync it.

Or if you want to manually do it, find the track in Amazon or the like, copy the image and then paste in the More Info box.

Yeah, you can just make any changes to the songs in iTunes, be it album artwork, track info, whatever and it will just sync with your iPod the next time you do it.

If you're lucky you can just right click the track (or shift rclick multiple tracks) and select "get album artwork" which works if the album is available on iTunes.

You can do it manually by searching google pictures for the artist/song.

There are also several programmes around that will search sites like Amazon.com for cover artwork and import them into iTunes.

Once all the album artwork is imported, the next time you sync the iPod they will be copied across.

Select all the tracks - Ctrl A - then right click and select "Get Album Artwork". If it's available it will automatically download it for you from iTunes Store. However...and this is a big however...I have spent many an hour rewording, even just slightly, the names of the albums so it matches with iTunes version of the name so it will pull the artwork through. It can be very tiresome and annoying at times. Probably quicker just to copy and paste straight into the artwork box from Amazon or Google Images if the store doesn't automatically find it for you.

Obviously sync your iPod afterwards.

I find CD Universe.com is a better source of album art than Amazon - better quality pics.

I copy the artwork from another site, select the album tracks in iTunes, right click to Get Info and paste into the Artwork box.

Discogs.com is another site for decent artwork jpgs.
