I am thinking of buying a 36'' widescreen tv.
I am trying to choose between 2 models ;
Panasonic TX 36PF10
Philips 36PW9525
Both seem like pretty good sets but i am unsure which to choose , the prices are roughly the same, anyone have experience of either of these two sets ?

i just read some reveiws in home entertainment magazine and they are both good t.v's. but the phillips just wins with 5 stars against the panasonics 4.
also the panasonic doesn't appear to have surround sound supplied with it.
hope thats some help.

I have not had any experience with either set but have read a review on the Panasonic set on http://www.homecinemachoice.com under test bench and it seemed pretty good.

As someone who supplies and intstalls Panasonics, I can recommend them! I don't supply Philips so I can't realy comment, hwoever seeing as I have to service and repair these monsterous TV's when they (and if) they go wrong I wouldn't sell Panasonics if I knew they'd be trouble. For many Years Panasonic have been consistantly reliable with a good reputation for supply parts years after the model has been discontinued.

Like any purchase you need to see and 'feel' these TV's for yourself. Philips have generally been good too.

today I just installed the latest Panasonic 32" 100hz TV and they sure work very well. It's model is TX32PG30 and I think they TX36PK10 you mention might be superceded by this new model.. but I might be wrong...This 32" cabinet size is SMALLER than my 28 " Sony Wega widescreen TV.. amazing !

Go to a independant dealer rather than Comet or Dixons, and get some good advice on these TV's

i would have to agree with the chap from orbital zone, the panasonic is a fantastic tv as far as picture quality goes and they are very reliable from my point of view as like him i supply these tvs all over the country. another worth having a look at is the hitachi c36wf810/830. this tv is the one in the range which has a panasonic tube in it giving fantastic pivture but it also has dolby digital sound with two separate rear speakers, separate centre, and separate sub.

EDIT: advert removed.
