No Install!

About 2 weeks ago added tiscali tv (with the pvr box) and talk to my existing 2mb broadband and asked for a install date of Friday 3:00 to 6:00 pm. Friday came and no installer came. So at about 7:00 pm I called the customer support number on the card included with the "Welcome to tiscali tv" booklet. I was unable to get hold of anyone so sent them an email asking why no one came round as of Sunday night I have had no response. What should I do?

Did you have any luck on this number? We are trying to TV installed and are having "issues" with poor communications with Tiscali.

I have ordered Tiscali TV and asked for installation next Monday.

As yet I have received no confirmation from Tiscali nor a welcome pack. Am I being a little paranoid in thinking it won't happen?

It wouldn't be right for me to ask for your details in here so I won't.
If you would like someone to help with this, you will need to register on the Tiscali forums and post these queries in the Tiscali Tv forum. From there someone will be able to pick this up.

Fear not. I had exactly the same problem, no confirmation for my installation. Upon calling Tiscali, they confirmed my installation as arranged via the website. The engineer arrived a little late but did telephone me to explain he would be. If you are feeling paranoid, call them to put your mind at ease

I phoned them up and aranged for them to come last thursday 6:00-9:00 and them came! (at 8:45) and had insatlled the wireless router and were just plugging the set top box in and it threw up some sort of error message. So the engineer phoned up his boss or someone and said somthing along the lines of there's not enough bandwith or that bt had not converted the line yet and he would have to take the equipment back. He also said that tiscali would phone me up to arrange another appoment.
sorry for the delay I've just had to reinstall vista after a crash.

Calling that 0800 number if you are an existing customer is a waste of time, they just tell you to call the premium rate number 0871.

Does anyone else thing that the Indian call centre people are all reading from the same script? "Please wait 2 minutes while I get your details"

The other part of the script, and I think that all the Tiscali people use this one, "someone will call you and let you know what is happening". No one ever calls back.
