Question about FM Transmitter - please help
Maerose

I have got an ipod winging its way to me from Santa and have persuaded OH to buy me a AudiaX 2 FM Transmitter (DGT-202) to go with it.

With the Audia plugged in to the car cigarette socket will it power / charge the ipod?

I'm hoping it does so that on long car journeys I don't have to worry about the ipod's battery running out.

Anyone got an Audia - is it good?

Thanks for your help!

I have an Audia. It is very good. It won't power your iPod though. It only connects into the headphone socket. The connection to the ciggy lighter socket is only for the Audia itself.

Thank you for clearing that up for me. Haven't got either bit yet so didn't know about the connection being through the headphone socket.

Glad you think it's good though, always difficult to know which one to buy.

There is a cradle for playing iPods in a car using FM transmitter. It plugs into cigarette socket and thus powers both the iPod and the transmitter by connecting to connector at the base of iPods. I think it is for the last generation of ipod and older.
