Ive just got a Nintendo Wii and i want to use the component cables, But i dont have no component connection on my TV.

So is there anyway i can use the component cable via a switch box/Cable or some sort of addapter?!

Thanks

My PS2 came with component cable - but it also came with component>Scart adaptor -

maybe not as good a picture as DVI but it looks nice on my TV (42" plasma)

Depends on your Wii output and TV DVI Input

What TV have you got that doesnt have component ? Does it have a VGA input ? You can get component to VGA cables.

You can pass component over analogue DVI (see mlythaby's links), but many only accept digital DVI signals.

There is no such thing. The PS2 comes with a composite cable and SCART adapter - not component.

Composite is the worst form of connection to a TV that there is.

Nah ...... surely RF takes that title?

My N64 is connected to my 40" LCD through RF and it looks pretty rotten.

I'll put up with it though so I can still play Mario Kart 64!

Really must get a SCART type connection for it ......

Wonder if my Wii one would work as I recently stopped using the standard Wii cables and replaced them with component (as oppose to composite) ones.

Anyone know if a standard Wii TV cable will work in an N64?

RF is a type of composite video ! (it carries a PAL or NTSC encoded video signal).

It is but with RF you have to modulate then demodulate so RF is worse than straight composite video. Also many composite modulated outputs are mono sound so are worse in that respect as well. (I know you know this but many people don't so it has to be made clear).

Buy a TV with two Component inputs?.

Or, probably cheaper?, buy a DVD player with HDMI out?.

You can get VGA to component cables so, you would reckon, there should be a component to VGA out there somewhere? (Assuming you have an unused VGA slot on the TV in question)
