Ive just got a Nintendo Wii and i want to use the component cables, But i dont have no component connection on my TV. So is there anyway i can use the component cable via a switch box/Cable or some sort of addapter?! Thanks

My PS2 came with component cable - but it also came with component>Scart adaptor -
maybe not as good a picture as DVI but it looks nice on my TV (42" plasma) |

Depends on your Wii output and TV DVI Input

So is there anyway i can use the component cable via a switch box/Cable or some sort of addapter?! You can pass component over analogue DVI (see mlythaby's links), but many only accept digital DVI signals. Quote:

Composite is the worst form of connection to a TV that there is.
My N64 is connected to my 40" LCD through RF and it looks pretty rotten. I'll put up with it though so I can still play Mario Kart 64! Really must get a SCART type connection for it ...... Wonder if my Wii one would work as I recently stopped using the standard Wii cables and replaced them with component (as oppose to composite) ones. Anyone know if a standard Wii TV cable will work in an N64? |

RF is a type of composite video ! (it carries a PAL or NTSC encoded video signal).

You can get VGA to component cables so, you would reckon, there should be a component to VGA out there somewhere? (Assuming you have an unused VGA slot on the TV in question)
