I hate to be the voice of reason on this illuminating and envigorating thread, BUT (just a small butt, Arlene? Really? I know someone who had to photoshop her picture for a magazine and after a week ended up substituting someone else's arms and legs)

Has anyone noticed the substitution of Geth, the robotic just-get-through-the-moves dancer, with GETHIN - the sex-god performer... and the fact that we haven't seen Gethin the TAPIR since his appearance on ITT six or so weeks ago?

Not that I'm implying anything .... but have you ever seen the two of them in the same sty? I mean, it's not exactly rocket salad is it??

PS My fave conspiracy has to be that Matt Di-A Vs Leticia would have been such a downer for the judges (they would have voted Matt Di for his potential) that Alesha stepped into the breach knowing she would be safe.

PPS Not a criticism, l voted 5 times for Alesha on Saturday by the way.

Apparantly the BBC have apologised for rigging the results each week by encouraging favouritism. This weeks dances will be danced in private and then ranked not using names but the letters A B and C. Voters then vote for their favourite letter A, B or C. The two will be added together and the lowest overall scoring letter (an accordingly the dancer leaving) will be revealed on Sunday.

BBC announces SCD Semi-Final Format

This year's SCD semi-final will be an all boy affair as Meltdown Matt duels with Gethin the Gorgeous for the right to meet Alleged "teachers pet" Alesha in the final. Alesha earns a bye into the final as she so courageously volunteered to be in the dance-off against best friend Letitia Dean last week in order to avoid forcing the judges to make a difficult decision as to whether it really was "based on the dances we have just seen on the night"or "potential, consistency and improvement" throughout the series.

The boys will also be dancing a group quickstep to ensure that Alesha and Matthew complete their scheduled dances.

The voting format has not yet been finalised but the judges will be marking all three couples on their dances.

A BBC source also mentioned that Alesha and Matthew were unable to train this week as they were in discussions with with ITV1 as the possible replacements for "Katie and Peter" next year.
