nor was it my intention that it would - I said it would prevent any preconceived notions of what forum members are like affecting how they are viewed from the outset. Anything they say during the experiment can, will and should be used to assess their personalities.

To answer one question: I haven't really looked at the applications yet, they're all sitting in one mail folder and will be unread until the closing date passes. That way I can read them all in one go (and it's going to take a while ) but at least then I'll be "judging" everyone in the same mindset.

On another point: I'm not really bothered about whether that person is a "big character" on the forums or not; obviously though a regular poster may give me more material to work with when selecting. That said I'm cautious of big, big personalities because that could mean they come into it with a large amount of backing to begin with so have an unfair advantage.

But who knows. Thanks to everyone who's sent in an app so far, btw, keep them coming.

Ah, caught you out. This idea sounds cool. I am yet to read the whole of the in and outs of this thread. So as yet I don't know the exacting premise. I'll probably not dig too much deeper and then be surprised by it when it begins.
