i have just bought a 2gb walkman, is it possible, to delete by mistake, any of the files already built in. example, like the registry in a pc. ?? and if so, would it render the walkman useless. ?

I know what you mean, those are just demo tracks, just wipe them, no harm at all.

If you have the 2gig walkman with SonicStage software, you must use the software to erase the files.

Normally the software for the devices is protected. If the software becomes corrupt there is always a reset or repair option.

Been looking to buy a Sony Walkman my self, specifically the
NWZS51 2GB. But I need a player with a resume function,
it's my understanding that all the Sony walkmans have this function. Can anyone confirm this?

I have three different sony walkmans, one is a 2gig NW - E005, a sony bean and a NW A3000. All have the resume function you want. I would think it's safe to assume all sony walkmans have the resume feature.

I like the one you are looking at, nice price too, it's from the new S range.

The only downside is the price of the Cradle Audio Speakers for NW-S Series. £159!!!
