Amazon can't deliver till after christmas. Waterstones say the same, Borders say the same. that apart it;s just the possibility of an individual shop having some kind of lucky surplus

anyone know of any places where I may get lucky

No lifeguard on duty is a serious recommendation. I read it about a year ago now and its just such a compelling story. Her words just scream off the page... its fantastic.
