To be frank, I think that a decent proportion of what one sees on here isn't all that constructive: much of it can be summed up as "I want, I want, I want", or "I hate/love RTD". A lot of comments are equally biased as Dervish's, equally unenlightened (NB from other people's perspectives!), but simply "dressed" rather better.
(Dervish goes overboard on some matters: his/her "assassinations" of several females involved in the show are unacceptable, if they are meant seriously)
Certainly, it might be argued that Dervish should not watch Doctor Who if he/she doesn't like it: it certainly seems he/she is wasting many hours of his/her time! But it is his/her right to watch the show and he/she has no obligation to comment on it in a particular way. I have seen plenty instances where Dervish's comments have added to the discussion, or indeed created more interesting discussions. His/her comments are not always presented without justifications, though sometimes they edge towards the bizarre end of the spectrum!
Your comment about ruining discussions can be addressed simply: it takes two to tango. We're not in a pub, where it can be difficult to ignore the two drunks yelling at one another: this is an online resource where we are in control of what we hear and what we see. Yes: Dervish should perhaps consider using his remote come 6.50pm 9 days from now; but, without wishing to appear flippant, one might suggest that if people don't like them, people should similarly ignore Dervish's messages
