hi

as the title says i'd like to know how i can play a ps3 using the laptop screen. i have previously been using a tv usb stick and an ariel conection to play my ps2 this where.

however can any one tell me how i can connect the ps3 to the laptop using the component connection (red, yellow, white)

also will this affect the picture quality, my previous ariel connection wasnt brilliant and there was slight lag.

i've read that this can be used:
http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/st...1638&x=28&y=13
but is there any other way, such as s-video. can it be played through media player?

thanks for your help, much appreciated

Red, Yellow, White is composite video, not Component - if your PS3 has composite out, and your USB TV tuner has composite inputs, you could connect it in that way, it should be slightly better than RF was.

But really it's a pretty poor way to connect anything, why not just buy a TV or monitor and use that?.

Does your PS3 have a VGA output?.

As for not wanting a TV, you already require a TV licence for your USB TV tuner anyway!.
